  • We decided to spend 3 days in Ostia to go to the sea before visiting Rome, that was such a good idea : we were warmly welcomed by a wonderful italian family. The kindness of Anna-Lisa, Leonardo and Claudia (our translator!) has no equal. They are attentive to you and your comfort, friendly and always smiling, a great plus ! The room is exactly in keeping with the photos and the description : nice, comfortable, very clean and independant. The breakfast is very good too, copious with fresh italian ingredients and a great authentic "caffe latte".
Anna-Lisa and Leonardo made us feel at home, so well that one week after, when we were standing in the center of Rome, we came back for the dinner for 10€ that they offer and we spent a very good evening with delicious italian meals.
About the location, the sea is not very far, with a car it must be quick ; we had to take public transports but it was ok as well. Not far from Rome too, so practical.
To sum up, we greatly recommand the "Attic under the stars", you will not be disappointed and even pleasantly surprised by this wonderful italian experience !

  • The family was a great family to get to know. They were very accommodating. Driving me to and from airport and to train stations for my daily excursions out in Rome.

  • All the other reviews have said it all. The Fraschettis were incredibly hospitable and treated us like family. Anna Lisa made us delicious breakfast early in the morning (home-made bread and marmalade!), and even arranged a nice surprise lunch for our road trip to Florence! On our last night, they taught us how to make fresh pasta, and we shared a delicious dinner that night.

Staying with this charming Italian family was the highlight of our trip. An incredible experience, and a reason to visit Rome in and of itself. We truly hope that we can cross paths with this wonderful family again.

  • Leonardo and Analisa were amazing hosts! I couldn't have asked for better and the experience of staying with them was just splendid and worth traveling to Rome just for their company. The made us feel at home and treated us better than we could have expected. We had nice meals togeth the homemade

  • Our stay with Leonardo and his family was amazing! We arrived as strangers and they treated us like family. We were well taken care of - breakfast was provided each morning, and we even had the opportunity to learn to make pasta, bread and pizza with the lovely couple! It is quite a long way to central Rome (we took about 1+ hours by Metro), but Leonardo was very kind to drive us to the nearest station (Acilia) on his way out each morning which helped save a lot of travelling time for us. I would definitely recommend staying with this lovely family. You'd not only be able to see how beautiful Rome is, but also experience the warmth of living with a perfect Italian family. :)

  • I travelled with my girlfriend and we both liked it very very very much!
Analisa and Leonardo are really nice and do all the best that you feel good. If you want to experience REAL Italians, this is the place for you!
We spent 6 nights at theirs and didnt regret any of them!
Thanks a lot for the lovely hospitality to all of you: Ariane, Claudia, Analisa, and Leonardo!

  • Leonardo and Annalisa were wonderful and hospitable hosts. Every effort to help us to enjoy our holiday and solve our transportation problems were made. We appreciate their dedication and the warm welcome to their home. We enjoyed our stay and the excellent dinner they prepared for us. We strongly recommend staying there and accepting their proposal for dinner. We regard both our stay and dinner as exceptional value for money.

  • I honestly don't think that the Fraschettis could have been any more wonderful. They have a lovely home, and the attic room where they host guests is cute, clean, private, and has a nice full bathroom. Plus, Leonardo picked us up from the local train station and drove us to the airport, which made everything about our trip super smooth.

But that's not what made this an amazing place to stay. This is a phenomenally warm and welcoming family, and they went way out of their way to make our stay easy and comfortable, but also to really get to know us -- despite language barriers and the fact that we were only there for a couple of nights. It's clear that they host people in their home out of a love for the world and a desire to experience more of it than they normally could in their beautiful little corner of Italy.

Anna Lisa and Leonardo are also excellent cooks, and just about everything you eat while you are in their home is made from scratch, from the tagliatelle to the bread to the incredible breakfast pastries. They gave us a lesson in Italian cooking, which turned out to be a delicious 4 course meal that we will never forget.

Both hosts speak a little English, and were very encouraging of our awful Italian! But their daughter Claudia speaks English quite well and was eager to learn more by helping to translate for us.

The pictures and cards from former guests that decorate their home are proof -- these are wonderful people who leave an indelible impression!

  • Leonardo, Anna-Lisa, and Claudia were really nice and helpful hosts! Even though they were really busy with a festival, they helped us get to central Rome, explained Italian politics to us, and were generally helpful with anything we needed. Breakfast was quie good, though just a bit smaller than what I as an American am used to :) The dogs were adorable; and too bad we didn't see Adrianna a lot. It did take a bit of time to get to the metro station by bus, but it wasn't at all hard to navigate, and it was worth it to be outside the really crowded city center and with very nice people!

    Thanks so much!

  • Leonardo and Anna Lisa are the most cheerful, friendly and helpful people we have ever met! Their whole family is great including the dogs :) The room was very cosy and clean. The whole house is very nice and you can fully enjoy the espressos, cappuccinos and pizzas the family prepared for us. The place is not close to the center, but Leonardo was giving us a ride to the train station all the time. If you really want to expirience the Italian hospitality, you have to stay with these wonderful people! Grazie mille!!! :)
