Looking for a unique experience in a gorgeous peaceful setting? Then you will love spending a night in this authentically-replicated Basque sheepherder's wagon beside a stream on a 5-acre farm. The wagon features a double bed with a new Tuft & Needle mattress, custom cabinets, propane stove, potbellied wood stove, pull-out table, minimal kitchen supplies, fire pit, private parking. Dedicated full guest bath in the main house for guests. Simple yet substantial breakfast provided.

The space
The sheepherder's wagon is a comfortable and cozy place for 1 or 2 guests from May - October. There are 5 steps that lead up into the wagon. Cooking in the wagon is limited to boiling water for tea and coffee. There are no pots or pans in the wagon, but there is a tea kettle and coffee and tea supplies. Some kitchen supplies are provided along with dishes, mugs, and silverware.
Tent space near the wagon is available for an extra charge to accommodate small families/groups.

My husband, Paul, and I are both teachers. I own and operate a Suzuki piano teaching studio and Paul teaches English at the local high school and coaches cross country and track. We are avid gardeners and spend much of our time preparing food we've grown. Sunset drinks on the deck are our favorite time of the day. We enjoy meeting new people and making them feel welcome in our home. The beauty of the Southwest continues to astound us and we spend as much time exploring and experiencing the outdoors as our schedules allow. We live a largely unplugged life and strive for a balance between hard work and simple pleasures. A favorite quote is the last line of a Mary Oliver poem: "Tell me: What do you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"
