The Neighborhood

We love our friendly neighbourhood. We watch out for each other and also respect each other's privacy.

Spend a day on the 'Port Venture' doing a popular River Cruise and dolphin watch.

Port Venture offers Port Macquarie Cruises for Dolphin Watching, Lunch Cruises, Sunset Cruises, Eco History cruises and can cater for private functions or day tours.

The Whale watching is always filled with joy and delight and the Jet Boat is an experience you will never forget. During the warmer months of the year we also have camel rides on Lighthouse Beach, always great fun for all ages.

Something that we find truly special, is a drive to Comboyne in the Hinterland. A quaint little village in the mountains filled with bush walks and waterfalls to enjoy.

It is only a 15 minute walk to the CBD. Our impressive library is on the corner of our street and is only a short stroll. It's a 15 minute walk to our beautiful beaches and beach walks and a 1-2 minute walk to a bus route. We live in a very convenient location.

  • Stunning Nest. Beautiful in every way. Caring, attentive, delightful, interesting hosts ... and breakfast needed to be photographed before consumed. Unbelievable. We were made welcome and immediately included into the household. Stay there. Nestle there. Rest there. Go there. Enjoy.

  • Rosalea and her husband were the ultimate hosts.- warm and sincere.Their home was immaculate and they couldn't do enough for us (including on the road sewing repairs). Breakfast was delightful and they catered for all our quirky allergies and food requirements. We would highly recommend if you want to feel you are staying with long lost relatives.

  • Our hosts at The Nest, Rosalie & Carl, were very generous with their knowledge and time. Bob & I greatly appreciated the fact that they showed us around town and even took us to some tourist spots that we would not have found on our own. The stay at their b&b was wonderful - very comfortable room with high-quality linens, the breakfasts were delicious and we especially enjoyed our long talks in their back yard. Both Bob & I would highly recommend the Nest. Thank you Rosalie & Carl!

  • We're lost for words, the experience of meeting and staying with Rosalie and Carl was way beyond our expectations. They are both such warm and kind people and it was a true pleasure to get to know them and stay in their wonderful home. We immediately felt as a part of their family and the breakfast was to die for. We couldn't possibly wish for anything else and will most definitely be back to get to know them and beautiful Port better.

  • The Nest is a wonderful place to stay. Rosalie and Carl has made our visit to a very special one! After one day they made us feel beeing part of their family. It was such a great experience to get to know this fantastic couple. They made us feel beeing absolutely welcome. They gave us a very good "briefing" about what to do in Port. The breakfast service was brilliant.
They really take care about their guests and they have a fantastic eye for every detail.
Thanks so much for hosting us so nice!

We live in a beautiful part of the world and would love to share it with others. My husband Carl and I are both creative people and appreciate anything that is done well. Presentation, style and flair is important to us. Carl is a designer, amongst many other creative gifts and I wear several hats which incorporate event co-ordination and interior design. Family are very precious to us and moments spent with them are priceless investments. Delectable foods and gourmet cooking is a passion for both of us. And a husband who is a muso, means music is a special part of our lives — "Music is what feelings sound like." We love taking the time in the busyness of life to value the things that we believe to be important and precious. Life is a journey not a destination and we like to make a difference to those we encounter. It is very important for both of us to know: Who we are, where we came from and where we are going.
