There is a well equipped kitchen; towels and linen are provided. There is a washing machine but no dryer. A launderette in nearby Formosa St offers a drying service. There is a clothes drying rack, iron and ironing board. There is Wi Fi, a printer, a TV and a docking station for an iPod/MP3 player.
Access to private courtyard and communal gardens.
Interaction with Guests
Communication is principally by email as I live a long way out of London and am rarely able to meet guests personally. However I always check shortly after their arrival to make sure everything is satisfactory.
The neighbourhood is remarkably peaceful and very pretty with lots of mature trees, attractive streetscapes and boats on the canal. It is pleasant to take an evening stroll along the towpath - you can walk for miles free of traffic with only the odd bicycle to avoid.
There is a wide selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants within close walking distance. There is a very good choice of local shops in Clifton Gardens including a butcher, greengrocer, deli, pharmacist, wine shop, cafes, florist and small supermarket.
It is a 10-15 minute walk to Regents Park and Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park which offer hectares of green space, lakes, play areas and both sporting and cultural activities.
It is a 5 minute walk to Warwick Avenue tube and Paddington mainline station which has a regular 15 minute service to Heathrow.
Meter parking during day, free after 6.30pm.
The Number 18 bus stops very close by and takes you to Baker St from where you can stroll down the delightful Marylebone High Street with its many attractive shops and on towards Oxford St, Soho etc. A folder for guests inside the apartment gives further information and travel tips.
The two tube stations are a few minutes walk away. Warwick Avenue on the Bakerloo line, Paddington on Bakerloo, Circle and District, Hammersmith and City lines. Paddington is also a mainline station to the west. There are several convenient bus lines nearby. There are 'Boris bikes' to hire in Warwick Avenue which also has a taxi rank.
Other Things to Note
Please note there is limited storage space - just one hanging cupboard in the bedroom. I plan to provide a small chest of drawers in the near future.
Normal consideration for neighbours.
Please leave the flat as you found it.

About the Host, Jane
I am a journalist with three grown up children. I live in the country and the apartment is my London home which I use two or three times a month for a night or two. Otherwise it is often available for Airbnb guests.
Sadly I am rarely able to meet my guests as I live a long way out of London but I keep lines of communication open, answer questions promptly and always check that everything is OK after their arrival.
I lived in Sydney for several years and am happy that many of my guests come from Australia - they are great travellers. Quite often guests have come to visit their adult children who live and work or study in London.
My favourite holidays are active: riding, walking, tennis. Favourite destinations: Patagonia, Kenya, SW France, Tuscany. Currently reading: The Green Road by Anne Enright. Last read: Do no harm by Henry Marsh. I love dancing, cooking, gardening, walking, tennis and riding.
Life motto: never be afraid to entertain strangers lest you entertain angels unawares.
