About this listing
The artist created suite is surrounded by food and fauna gardens behind a quiet bungalow home where meals are served laced with fresh ingredients from the yard. Guests can view or purchase artwork in the adjacent studio and scattered in the gardens .
This peaceful unit is a separate suite behind the main house tucked into the quaint, secluded backyard. It is a tranquil space of meditative healing with use of the Vibra Therapy Machine (search Whole Body Vibration ), outdoor non-chlorine hot tub, or indoor 2 person Japanese tub, fire pit on "The Beach", gardens of art and edibles, friendly pets, and samplings of natural skin products and infusions.
The artist and creator of the atmosphere has her studio in the attached garage where you can usually observe her working and view her gallery of diverse artwork.
Though the property feels like it is in its own little world, it's just off Hwy.101 with easy access (within a half hour) to Wine Country, Coastal attractions, San Francisco, Sausalito, Berkely, Mt. Tamalpais, Muir Woods, and Sonoma Raceway.
We will do our best to accommodate your needs for the most pleasant and memorable stay, but please refrain from smoking anywhere on the premises~ Thank you.
The front driveway is for guest parking. With a few hours notice, the hot tub can be ready for a soak. There is wood and a firepit for a bonfire, and a table in the courtyard for dining. There is a hot pot for tea in the room, and a microwave and mini frig where you'll find breakfast goodies. A chef's choice garden inspired breakfast is available for $10 each upon request. When the artist is home, the studio is open for viewing.
Interaction with Guests
Guests can determine the level of interaction they desire. Teri is from the south and hospitality runs openly and freely, but for those who wish to have a more romantic or introspective visit, privacy is respected. The cats are not as mindful, but usually can be gently discouraged from sitting in your lap if not desired. The bunny is very friendly especially to those bearing dandelion treats.
The neighborhood is quiet with a hint children's giggles in the background. Though restaurants, groceries, and entertainment are as close as a walk to the end of the street, the property feels very secluded and far away from civilization. We were featured in the Marin IJ on Sept.2, 2014, the article is available online.
A bus stop is located at the end of the street to the left on South Novato Blvd. and another on Redwood Blvd. (10 minute walk).
The Marin Airporter is 2 exits away.
No smoking is preferred, but if it is a must, the firepit area is available with butts going in the pit please.
About the Host, Teri
My life is a work of art, and it is evident in my home and gardens. The intention is to explore and find something captivating in each step, and new in each return. There is art and artistry in everything I do, and everything I create. From food to furniture, practical to aesthetic; it all gets touched with a little magic to elevate it from ordinary to unique and extraordinary.
I declared myself an atist at age 5, but the core of my being is a healer. I find truth in the ancient use of food and botanicals, and I continue to seek out methods of natural health, youthfulness, and longevity that I can share with others. The gardens are a continuous growth process to foster this passion.
