Brooklyn is famous for its 19th Century Brownstone townhouses. We offer a wonderful studio apartment overlooking the garden in such a building in Stuyvesant Heights near the Historic District. You will enjoy all of the 19th Century Victorian architectural detail that Brooklyn has to offer. We are very well located being only 7 blocks from the A and C subway lines and 20 minutes from Manhattan.
Our goal is to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. The apartment is very private and very quiet (you will not share with others) and it has its own entrance so you can come and go as you wish.
There is a large, spa-like bathroom, which is yours alone. It has a shower, bath tub, and includes Egyptian cotton towels and luxury soaps and lotions.
Appointments include a four-poster bed with Frette linens; a Martin Visser sofa that sleeps one; a mid-20th Century modern rosewood desk/table; an American "highboy" (a tall chest-of-drawers) from the 1750's; books and mazagines.
There is also a small refrigerator and a selection of teas and coffee, all provided free of charge. Also included are a microwave oven, ironing board, and iron. The unit is air-conditioned and has free wireless internet service.
Also for a small fee we can lead you on a number of private tours. Whether you are interested in shopping, architecture, history, or something else, we can put something together for you, or if not through us, we can recommend another tour organization.
There are many bakeries, coffee shops, and restaurants in the neighborhood which we would be pleased to recommend as well.
Our neighborhood, Bedford-Stuyvesant, has been recognized as one of the best neighborhoods in New York City by TimeOut MagazineNew York. Please go to their website, best found by searching the internet. Unfortunately, AIRBNB will not allow us to post the web address here. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

The place is comfy and clean; and is as seen in the photos. The directions to and from the apartment were very clear, and the book of restaurants Michael and Randy left, as well as the tourist books about NYC, were much appreciated. We were gone most of the time so didn't meet our hosts, but they were prompt, polite and helpful when messaging with them. We'd stay there again if visiting the area!
Very nice apartment. Good feedback from hosts. Slightly further out than I had realised. Felt like being in someones home rather than a hotel which is a plus. One night was woken by noisy neighbours playing drums till 2 am.
The studio was clean, cosy and located on a beautiful street - just what we needed when there was a foot of snow outside! It was easy to navigate and Michael had covered all our needs. It was a little further from bars and restaurants than we hoped but it was a pleasant walk through residential streets to get to the attractions of Williamsburg. Quite a few stairs if you've got heavy luggage but it all added to the charm of the building. Thanks Michael!
The studio apt i beautiful and really clean and nice. I liked the neighborhood a lot and it´s in a really pretty and great part of Brkln. Michael was really fast answering all possible questions, helpful and made my staying even easier and better than what I actually paid for. If you´re an active person that wants a calm place to bounce back to between your NY adventures this is a great spot!
Cosy little apartment close to the subway, comfy bed, clean towels, kept warm in the cold weather, fun little radio to tune into ... Enjoyed staying in a residential area away from tourist traps... Nice touch having a coffee maker and Randy was kind enough to reimburse us some dollars when the microwave didn't work. Quiet street but if you are sensitive to noise, sound travels from upstairs flat.
Overall, we would recommend this, thanks Randy!
This room was perfect for our 3 night stay in Brooklyn. The apartment is exactly as you see in the images. The host is very discreet, didn't get the chance to meet him.
There are useful maps, guides and brochures with plenty of information to get around! There's even a refrigerator in the room, which is pretty awesome and You have your own bathroom!!!!
As many apartment in NYC, the walls are very thin, so You can easily hear the stairs, people talking and dog barking; however it was totally fine with us :)
The studio is a 8 min walk from Kingston-Throop station, Line A-C.
20min to Canal st / Manhattan. Very convenient.
If it's your 1st time in NYC the subway station might seem a little rough, some weirdos hanging around but nothing to be scared of. During late week ends, there are still plenty of people on the streets.
Great room. great place!!
We had a perfect stay. Great neighbourhood, great place. The metro station is really close and it was very simple to just chill around. Thanks!
The reservation was canceled 8 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
A nice room with a decent bathroom. Clean sheets and towels. There were some downsides though. When we had trouble finding the keys we couldnt reach the owner, although he seemed to be at home. The microwave wasn't working and we enjoyed the company of some mice. When we met up with some friends later they were genuinly surprised we were staying in bed stuy. We were very at ease in the neighbourhood but apparently its very bad. We later found out there was a shooting two blocks away while we were there. Over all: wouldn't stay here again but had a good time. And a very decent price.
