Amazing views from this apartment set up high overlooking Sydney Harbour, Bridge and Opera House, walk to your private beach, national park trails and close to Bondi Beach. Filled with sunlight with a bus outside the door directly to the CBD.
My beautiful home in Vaucluse, incredible views, 1940s apartment with wooden floorboards, original artworks and antiques, library, magic windows overlooking churches, and 180 degree views. One main bedroom with harbour views, sun room with harbour views, drenched with sunlight, cosy living room and spacious kitchen/dining and views. Did I say views? Lovely furnishings, comfortable couches, all fully equipped and with towels and good linen, deep bath, bathroom products, hairdryer, dishwasher, coffee machine, onsite washing machine and clothes line. In a beautiful Georgian colonnaded building with chandeliered entry and a garden full of hydrangeas and jacaranda in bloom. NB: this is an older style apartment with quirks and on a main road where you will hear some traffic noise. Suiting those you who might like a 'beach' holiday but 7km from CBD which you can oversee from your own sun room. Five minutes walk in your swim suit to your own secluded beach, Queens Beach and safe swimming and cafes of Neilson Park. Stroll along the magnificent edge of the harbour through the Hermitage Foreshore Track right at the doorstep. Close to Bondi Beach and Watsons Bay for adventuring, or just sit in the sunroom as the sun sets over Sydney Harbour Bridge on these lovely evenings while you sip rose and Champagne. Of course that's all I ever do! Bus stop straight to city 15 mins, or to train to airport.
Lovely Lisa will be there to meet and greet, and can stay on to share if you'd like a host (and amazing chef) or you can have the apartment to yourselves (excluding the second bedroom). Please be considerate of our neighbours. We are foodies so the kitchen cupboards are full!
Interaction with Guests
We prefer couples, no children, no smoking, quiet and considerate people. You will be given keys and Lisa will explain anything you need to know. We ask that you be quiet and considerate in the communal areas
This neighbourhood offers everything, from the best coffee, cocktails on the water with pelicans, Seaplane tours to Pittwater, the best beaches, the In crowd dining, dancing, parading, bikini watching, joggers. People travel all over the world to photograph this view. About half km walk in either direction to Vaucluse or Rose Bay shops, such a cute villagey feel, with a great butcher, fruit shop, chemist, great restaurants and the famous Grumpy Baker.
We can provide a list of fave restaurants, best coffee, upmarket supermarkets, beaches, walking trails, pubs overlooking the sunset, yum cha, hot bodies jogging along the beach, Bondi Lifesavers, you can walk to the famous Gap with stunning cliff top views over the ocean. From the apartment you can see clear over to The Blue Mountains and all district views, including the beauty of Kincoppal and St Michael's churches. Oh and Sydney evening usually throw in some gratuitous mid week fireworks for your viewing pleasure!!
Parking on the street is no problem and no restrictions. The bus stop 3 mins walk, takes you anywhere you want: Bondi Beach, Watson Bay, Bondi Junction and Edgecliff for trains to airport etc, Kings Cross. We can advise on best way to arrive from airport. Taxi approx $AUD 50-60 and plenty of public transport options. One of my fave local spots (website hidden)

We just ask you to be low key and considerate of the neighbours. It is a quiet residential block of only 6 apartments. Common entry and stairwell, garden and washing machine, clothesline. No pets and no smoking please. No parties or large groups. Would prefer no children but can discuss.
Prompt communication. Lovely apartment with amazing views. Easily accessible by public transport and walking distance to harbour beaches.
The apartment was incredibly lovely and comfortable. The attention to details like towels, bedding, free drawer space, and toiletries was superb. We loved the pillows so much we looked up the brand and have ordered our own.
Having a proper kitchen and run of all the equipment was also very nice for us. And we made the most of it. Frankly, with that view, we preferred to eat in and watch the sun set over the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Everything was fine with the arrival and departure. Out host was also generous enough to allow a late departure to suit our flight.
Its a good neighborhood and very close to some of the best in Sydney. The building is a large traditional block, with quite a few stairs to reach it. Parking on the street outside is fine.
As far as the apartment is concerned, the good side was that the place is spacious with high ceilings, has a great view of the harbour all the way to the bridge and has some naturally cool breezes due to the height and location.
Less good was that the location is on a main road so traffic noise is bad. Internet WiFi was very patchy in performance and sometimes cut out all together. The place could really use a lick of paint in places and the bathroom needs a refit.
But the price is very reasonable by Sydney standards so it depends how picky you want to be.
The view from this apartment is as stunning as Kitty's pictures indicate. The apartment is comfortable and welcoming and has a great atmosphere. It is like staying at a friend's house. It is well stocked with everything we wanted/needed and more. Loved the books and DVDs. Kitty and friend Lisa were in regular contact to make sure that all was ok. We only stayed 6 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would definitely stay there again and can recommend it to anyone who prefers atmosphere over hotel neatness.
It would be hard to imagine a better place to stay if you want a vintage Sydney experience. I felt welcome and attended to and yet the space was mine. The view is exceptional, the place is homey and stylish, the building a character original. The area is special, Nielsen Park my personal favourite can be accessed the long way around the coastal walk passing three untouched secluded beaches, while above you sits the fairy tale castle like Kin Coppal school. Parking is easy, and city access easy. I would not hesitate to stay again, that's how I feel about it.
Great spot. Loved it
Old world charm with modern amenities. The view of the harbour was fantastic and the flat was very nice. It was clean and modern interior, but with an classic feel to the flat. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
