Kay was very responsive to my questions. Her place is bright and clean and in the perfect location if you enjoy all that the Myrtle Beach area has to offer. The condo is located on a beautiful stretch of beach.

The customer service was horrible. I requested an additional car pass and was told I had to pay an additional $50. Honestly the issue was not the money it was the approach of the owner. He was upset that he had to drive back to drop off the car pass. I am active duty military and…

Response from Kay:
This guest requested an early check in and we got him in almost an hour and a half early. I was in the building for almost 4 hours after he checked in. I left the property at about 7 PM and have a 35 minute drive home with good traffic. At approximately 8:15 PM he notifies me that he needs another parking pass. I told him I would have to make a special trip back, about 50 miles round trip and would have to charge him for the trip since he could have informed me prior to check in or certainly in the 4 hours after he checked in that he needed another parking pass. I was in the building for hours after he arrived and all I had to do was go to my car and get another pass and hand it to him. It would have taken 5 minutes. Instead I had to spend over an hour in the car in a driving rain storm to get the permit to him. He was told prior to arrival that he had one parking permit. I have requests all of the time from guests for additional passes but they always ask when they receive their check in instructions prior to their arrival. He became belligerent and said he would not pay the fee for me to drive back to the property. I told him he had a choice, pay me for trip, get his car towed or leave the property. He said I could not do that but after informing him that the SC Innkeepers Act allows me to remove anyone from my property for any reason or no reason he thought about it and decided to pay for the trip. As it turns out I did not even charge him for the trip and when he departed he took not only the original parking pass but the additional one I brought to him with him. I had to buy two new ones from the HOA to replace both of them. The HOA charges $25 each for them. I would never rent to Charles again and would warn other Airbnb Hosts to be very wary of renting to him. He left the unit in such a mess that it took almost 4 hours to clean. These units typically take 45 minutes to clean. There were dirty dishes in the sink (the House rules clearly state that each guest must clean any dishes they dirty). They left mounds of trash throughout the unit when they departed ( also covered in the House Rules that the guest takes their trash to the dumpster in the parking deck when they depart) and left dirty dishes scattered throughout the unit including the bathroom and bedroom. There was food under the beds and Vaseline smeared all over the bedroom furniture. Towels were thrown all over the unit and two cushions for the dining room chairs had o be replaced because of food stains that would not come out after cleaning. AIrbnb agreed I would never collect for the damages when I spoke with them about the issues I had experienced with Charles so I did not even bother to bill him for the damages or the parking passes. He doesn't have to worry about using my services again. He will never be given the opportunity to stay in one of my units again. I guess this is why he won't put a photo up on the site!
