The apt was very nice and the listing was accurate and as expected. the location was perfect! Very close to the major sites in Florence. We would definitely stay there again. Lucia's daughter met us and she was lovely and very helpful. check in and out was a breeze!
Gracias Lucia!
This place is in an amazing location. We loved our stay there. Lucia received us and gave us a quick tour of the home. The home is very nice and accomodates a family of 4 very well - 2 adults and 2 kids (ages 13 and 11). Each kid got their own room/bed.
Lucia was very gracious in accommodating our schedule with an early check-in and late check-out.
Location-wise, there are tons of places to eat, get coffee, gelato, etc. around the place - Italian, Mediteranian, Greek, Chinese, Indian, Kebab joints, etc. After a week in Italy, we needed a palette reset and found a lot of 'non-Italian' options.
The academia is right across the street, and the queue goes right in front of the home. The uffizi, duomo, train station are all within 10 min walking distance. There is also a taxi stand within 1 block.
The kitchen was equiped with a water boiler, microwave, stove, and washing machine for the clothes.
Given the heat in July, the air-conditioners really helped. However, one bed room did not have a fan nor an air-conditioner. Perhaps a portable/standing fan would help in the hot months. (Not a big deal though.)
Overall, we would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Florence.
The apartment was perfect and exactly as described. Lucia meet us at the apartment to hand over the keys and answer any question. It was nice that all towels and linens were provided. Unfortunately we realized we were only given 1 roll of toilet paper for our 4 day stay at 9pm when most shops were closed. We also realized shortly after checkout that several nice dress shirts were left in the closet, we contacted Lucia immediately asking her to mail them to us (at our cost) she then stopped all communication with us and never replied to my emails or texts. This was very unfortunate after such a nice stay:(
I'm sorry for what happened, but I immediately replied to you that I would checked for your shirts as soon as i went there and I asked you the address where to send them.
I don't know why you didn't receive my email.
When I went to the apartment I didn't find any shirts so I thought that you found them.
The only thing that now I can do is to ask to the cleaning company if they found anything.
Lucia's apartment was awesome! It was the perfect size for the 4 of us. It had everything we needed to help make our time in Florence a memorable one. It had a washer, a fully equipped kitchen, and WIFI. That was everything we were looking for! The location was excellent. We were across the street from the David! Thanks Lucia!
Thank you, Lucia, for a wonderful place. Living across the street from one of the world's most famous sculptures was an amazing experience of excitement with so many people leaving after seeing Michaelangelo's David. Proximity to so many treasures was perfect.
I was traveling with my wife and 11 year old sone, and this apartment was great. It was actually probably a little large for just the three of us, but it was enjoyable to have the space. My son loved the little loft bedroom, and claimed it as his space immediately. the location of the apartment is extremely convenient for almost everything you would want to see in Florence. You are actually right across the street from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze, so Michelangelo's David is you neighbor. The downside to the great location is the hordes of people that noisily begin to gather in the early morning to line up for entry. Still, we felt it was well worth it, and we weren't trying to sleep in anyway. Lucia was very nice, and very responsive to messages. She was kind enough to wait for us at the apartment when our train was delayed by 2 hours (stopped on the tracks for 2 hours about 10 minutes from our station). Overall a lovely apartment, and a great experience. Thank you, Lucia!

About the Host, Lucia
Hello, I am a retired high school Maths and Physics teacher and have recently completed a course on the museums of Florence. My family is historically from Florence, but I first moved here in the early 1990’s with my husband and three daughters. In the summer I spend most of my time in the countryside just outside of Florence where we have a country house with wine yards and also rent flats for guests. I can guarantee you a comfortable stay and professional service.
