Stay in Austin just minutes away from downtown and UT. Our detached 600 sq. ft apartment provides plenty of privacy. You'll have the place all to yourselves.
It is fully equipped with queen bed, full kitchen, bathroom, TV, coffee maker and more.
This is a great spot to enjoy all that Austin has to offer. Whether you're coming for a festival like SXSW or looking to see the sights, you'll be close it all. Downtown, 6th St, Zilker Park, Barton Springs, UT, the Capitol, and more are all easy to get to from the apartment.
This apartment was built in 2006, so it a new and very clean place to stay in Austin. The queen bed can easily fit two people. A third could stay on the couch (or an air mattress) if needed.
The full kitchen can save you money on your meals. It contains a fridge, oven, range, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, pots, pans, plates, and silverware. We'll leave you with a little stockpile of waters, coffee, and maybe even some Texas beers.
After a busy day, you'll be able to relax on the couch and watch Netflix or utilize the free wifi. We just have gigabit internet installed, so you'll get to enjoy blazing speeds.
You'll get a code to the keypad lock beforehand, so you'll be able to come and go as you please. There is no need to "check in", just let yourself in and make yourself at home.
Interaction with Guests
You'll have the whole building to yourself, so you won't really see much of us unless you would like. Austin is a great city and we'd love to help you make the most of your visit.
The Ridgelea area is lovely spot that is secluded, yet right in the middle of central Austin. You'll be able to enjoy the peace and quiet of our wonderful neighborhood while still staying in the heart of central Austin.
This is a great spot to visit Austin without a car. There are 3 bus lines within a few blocks that will take you all over Austin, including downtown and UT within 15 minutes. See the Cap Metro website for a schedule.
We're also in the service area for car2go if you need to use a car for a short trip.
There are several restaurants, stores, and grocers within walking distance.
Other Things to Note
Long term (30+ days) guests are welcome. All utilities are included in the monthly rate. This is a great spot for traveling nurses at Seton Hospital or students and teachers going to UT. There is a full kitchen, so you'll be able to cook as needed.
Kids are welcome. We have three young boys and so we can lend a Pack-in-Play if you need one.
We pay all city, state, and federal taxes. We are operating under Austin short term rental licensing number 131260.
Treat the space like you would your own, and we'd love to host you. No smoking or pets please.
A very easy stay. The apartment had plenty of space and was kitted out with everything we needed. We didn't meet our hosts until just before we left, but we hadn't needed them. For those unfamiliar with Austin, worth pointing out that the traffic can be awful so a clear run into town takes 10 mins but it can easily be closer to an hour at bad times.
Great host, extremely courteous and welcoming. Very clean and accommodating, as well. Everything was great and my wife and I would definitely stay there again.
Ben did a great job communicating prior to our arrival and had everything ready when we got there - even stocked the fridge with beer. The space was as described and the central location in Austin was very convenient.
This guesthouse was as expected based on the description. It was a good value for the amenities and the location. We were visiting our daughter who is a student at UT, and the guesthouse is only about 5 minutes from campus. It is on a quiet street in a nice neighborhood. Our host, Ben was very good about communicating with us and providing all the details we needed for our arrival. Ben and his adorable family, whom we met briefly, were very friendly.
The Cross' apartment was everything we were looking for during our two week stay in Austin. It is close to restaurants, grocery stores, transit routes, nature trails etc. The kitchen was stocked with supplies for enjoying meals at home but there are also a few restaurants within walking distance. When we arrived the fridge was stocked with water and beer and a few other necessities. It was so welcoming and nice to relax after a long day of traveling. The neighborhood is very quiet and beautiful to walk around. Downtown and the university are an easy bus ride.
Great spot! Convenient to downtown, even during SXSW. Nice place, comfortable bed, left water, beer and coffee for me. Would definitely recommend to friends.
Ben wad the best of hosts! The apartment is very well appointed, close to everything you could possibly need in Austin, and a wonderful place to stay. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
