Other Things to Note
-While the building has a classic vibe, you do need to recognize that this is a very old building (100+!) which means: It's got a antique cage/gated elevator which can be fun if you've never seen one... otherwise if you're ok with one flight of stairs, that will be your quicker option. It also has not been restored or renovated for asthetics for a while, and this is apparent in the walls/floors/ceiling (albeit the flat is clean and safe!)
-It can get noisy from street traffic if you're sensitive to noise. I'm a super light sleeper and I use earplugs if I leave the windows open (can provide).
-The building is located next to a semi-busy bar (Cafe Royale), which means theres people around outside at night making it safer if you're traveling alone or coming back late.
Just be respectful, this is my home! :)
Christina went out of her way to help us enjoy her apartment. Knowing she would be out of town when we visited, she arranged to meet us beforehand to give us a key. She left useful advice and information in the apartment, plus a few things that she thought we'd need. She also checked in with us a couple of times to make sure our visit was going well. We found her very easy to deal with, and reliable and helpful.
The apartment is comfortable and well located, and within easy walking distance to downtown, and close to decent bus and cable car routes. The building itself is a little shabby but seems fairly representative of apartment blocks in San Francisco. Security was fine, with gated entrance and lobby area, and the area has plenty of convenient shops, coffee bars and diners. Internet was reliable and fast enough for work purposes.
We really enjoyed our stay.
Christina was a wonderful host and her apartment was perfect for my stay. I'd definitely rent from her again.
Christina was a great host. A nice combination of preparedness and flexibility. Due to weather issues I had to shift my stay by one day on both ends (day off) and she was very accommodating - she saved me!
Her studio is perfect for the solo person in SF who seeks simplicity. The bathroom was small but water was hot.
The location is good, and makes it easy to get to most of SF. My office was near Montgomery BART station and it was a splendid 15 minute walk.
I can easily recommend Christina and her studio.
My husband and I stayed at Christina's studio while visiting our son. She welcomed us with a bottle of wine which was a nice surprise! It was as we expected and perfect for the two of us. Great location close to downtown. There is a lot of street noise/sirens but it did not bother us but if you are a lite sleeper you may want earplugs. Hi speed internet was nice to have. I felt Christina was easy to get in touch with and replied quickly. Would stay here again!!
Everything was great. Christina was very accommodating. She arranged to meet us when our flight got in late. She also allowed for us to check out late since we had another late flight.
The neighborhood was nice and a lot of things in walking distance. It's definitely decent for the price, and we enjoyed the Roku for the tv.
Christina was a wonderful host. She made sure to check in on me to ensure everything was great. Everything ran very smoothly. The apartment was cozy and clean and perfect for my needs. Great location too. I would definitely stay there again.
