About This Listing
Welcome to RotoVegas!
You will find our lovely and cosy unit in at the end of "the strip". It is located in Whakarewarewa, which is also home of the Pohutu Geyser.
It is a two-story unit with an open planned fully equipped kitchen downstairs (sorry no freezer), breakfast bar, good size table with 4 chairs and big cosy couch to cuddle in front of our 52' plasma TV. Upstairs you will find a small mezzanine with some fitness equipment, two bedrooms (which one of them will be yours), bathroom with shower and a separate toilet.
Your bedroom has a double or queen bed (not quite sure about the size) and a built in wardrobe to store your stuff. We have a travel cot as well, , which can be used if required.
The house is newly renovated with new carpet and new paint - all in all it is really cosy and welcomes you to feel at home away from home.
We do have a a brand new gas BBQ outside, which you are welcome to use. We have also a lounger outside to enjoy the sun and there is a washing line in case you need to dry clothes.
There is a bus stop just in front of our unit, which takes you in 10 minutes to the city centre. A dairy is approx 5 minutes walk away and a bit further down is a Wholesale. Fish n Chips shop and a small cafe is around the corner approx 5 minutes to walk.
I provide you with maps, recommendations and discount vouchers for most of the attractions in and around Rotorua.
Josh and I love traveling around the world by ourselves and meeting new people. We are open minded and love to welcome you in our home.
We are both working full time but in whatever shift we are in, we are happy to show you a bit around if you like some help. Depending on your travel plans and wishes.
Please feel free to ask about more details.
It is usually a quiet area but our neighbors are having the odd party every now and then. They usually shut it down before midnight
There is a bus stop just 50 m away from our house, which brings you to Te Puia (Pohutu Geyser) within 4 minutes and to the city centre within 15. The public transport system in Rotorua isn't soo great but the bus runs every half an hour during the week and hourly during weekends.
Just the usual
Sabrina and Josh are a friendly and very helpful couple, they picked me up from the bus station, dropped me into town a few times which was great because the house is 40-50 minutes walking distance from Rotorua City centre. There is also a bus service, stop right next to the house, but operates only till 6pm. Within walking distance is Te Puia and Maori village.
Their house is a bit neglected, accommodation very basic, room was tiny, but Sabrina gave me very nice breakfast, more than I could eat.
Nevertheless I have to say, the place is overpriced for the standard it offers.
We stayed for 2 nights in Sabrina's house. We really liked and enjoyed the space. The house is fairly spacious and offers enough room for 3 adults. The beds are exceptionally good. Hosts are very welcoming in their written communications. Reasonable value for money.
About the Host, Sabrina
