The organic Agriturismo 'La Manna di Zabbra' is situated in a part of the Madonie National Park, which is one of the most beautiful natural parks in Italy.
Our property of 14 hectares is about 15 minutes away from the beach (Valtur).
Into the month of March you can view the snow-capped peaks of the highest mountains of the Madonie (skiing area).
In a mere 20 minutes you can reach the idyllic town of Cefalù, while the stunning and multicultural capital Palermo is an hour’s drive away.
The Trattoria is surrounded by olive trees, orange-, tangerine-, and lemon trees and many kinds of fruit trees. Above the Trattoria you will find a little lake with perch and waterfowls.
The landscape is characterized by ash trees, which in the months of July and August are producing a precious product, the manna.
The manna, along with our special cuisine, is the soul of our Azienda and gave our farm its name.
The vegetable production takes place right in front of the Trattoria. You can see where the food that we serve was grown!
As a natural product the precious manna in 2002 was included in the list of the Slow Food Presidium.
We appreciate the ethics of the Slow Food Presidium and implement them.
La Manna di Zabbra has joined just right from the beginning the organization Addiopizzo. Our company is certified organic as well.
This very special property is embedded in the valleys of the river Pollina and surrounded by the majestic mountains of the Madonie and the Tyrrhenian Sea. On our site you will find any kind of fruit trees as well as many ash trees, from which the manna is obtained. Colourful beehives in front of our little pond are pleasing to the eye.
Due to Sicily’s history and domination its cuisine fuses food elements from all over the world. We use primarily and principally our own organic fruit and vegetables, including the locally wild plants. Our cuisine will offer you delicious and innovative taste sensations.
Our lovely furnished guestrooms are situated in the lower part of the family house and are kept by us and the hospitable mother of the family Onorato.
All rooms dispose of private entrances. They are surrounded by patios, sage, roses and Mediterranean plants, herbs, and trees.

What a restful and delightful place, not that far from the autostrata. We loved the surroundings, being greeted by Marion, but really love the tasting dinner prepared by Valerio. He's a jewel. Explained all about the courses, brought us bread and cheese when we arrived late in the afternoon and coffee in the early hours when we had to leave. And they sell amazing preserves there - green tomato, pumpkin, orange marmalade - all made from their own products. Go there for a very restful and delicious break in Sicily.
This farmstay is blessed with two hosts: Marion, who can organise everything in English, and Valerio, who prepares all of the food. They are a great team. Valerio cooked us a lovely dinner in the restaurant on the farm and would prepare simple but delicious breakfasts, and Marion would guide us around the many things to do in the local area.
The farm is in a great spot, with amazing views of the valley below. Expect a very laid back, relaxed and low maintenance experience in a very special spot. The room we had was quite small – not somewhere that you could really make yourself comfortable, as it didn’t have cupboards or shelves – but fine for a base to use for your daily adventures.
Staying on this beautiful farm was a memorable experience. The property is stunning and the apartment itself very comfortable -it has a very large kitchen and large rooms. From the outside there is a beautiful view of the nearby town and valley.
We were delighted that they have their own agriturismo restaurant on the property and enjoyed a wonderful dinner made with fresh organic produce from the farm. The olive oil was also something very special, not to mention incredible house-made antipastos. Everything was delicious!
We were also treated to a small tour of the "manna" sugar from the ash trees on the property. Interesting history!
The hosts were very kind and provided excellent hospitality! We wished we could have stayed longer because it is very peaceful!
Thanks, Marion, Valerio, Maria and family for having us stay - it is so picturesque and rural. We had the most relaxing time (but equally there is loads of things to see and do if you want to!) We had the whole place to ourselves for 2 nights and loved the quiet :) We visited Pollina and Cefalu, recommended by Marion, and loved them both :) this place was clean, cool (even in the blazing sun) and Valerio was an amazing chef - you must eat at the restaurant - all food from his wonderful gardens :) A really special place and will recommend to others. Thanks Charis and Jordan
Marion was a warm and welcoming host. The farm was lovely and peaceful, great for enjoying time in the countryside and for visiting the Madonie parc. Our lunch at the restaurant was amazingly delicious, not to be missed! Although the rooms were a bit sparse, the amenities were comfortable.
Me and my girlfriend totally enjoyed our stay at Valerio's guesthouse. Not in the least due to Marions care. She is super sweet, very funny and totally willing to help out on anything. We would be really curious to visit Marion's own guesthouse one day in future.
We had a wonderful time there! Marion and Valerio are great hosts, they are very helpful and friendly. This farm is a real paradise, quiet and peaceful, the landscape around is beautiful. The cook is amazing, with products of the garden and a magic wine! I would definitely recommend Marion, she's a 5-stars host!
We had a great time in Marion's place. The room was small but clean and we had everything we needed. Good bathroom with hot shower! The surroundings are beautiful - you would need a car though to move around. Breakfast was prepared by Valerio who lives on the property and is one of the nicest persons we met in Sicily. He also cooked an amazing dinner for us. Marion had valuable information about the area and Sicily in general. Definitely recommended.
It was a great time at the Agritourismo! Marion served us an excellent tea with herbs from the garden. She knows a lot about the plants! A big THANK YOU to you, Marion, and to your very special friends Egbert and Valerio! 100% recommendable!
