About This Listing
A perfect place to change your point of view, rest or play and access to the many attractions of the Niagara Region. Just up from the shore of Lake Erie the cottage is a quaint 2 bedroom - fully furnished with all that you need to rejuvenate.
This cozy cottage is in Ridgeway Ontario Canada is just west of Fort Erie and the American border (the Peace Bridge and Buffalo N.Y) and just south by 20 min from Niagara Falls. Ridgeway is a cute little Ontario town - the cottage in summer is full with summer fun just up from the beach and in winter is quaint, meditative and quiet - great for long walks and deep thoughts - September the lake water is still warm for swimming and its a bit quitter on the beach.
Although we are willing to accommodate 4 or 5 day rentals we prefer weekly and monthly rentals - However we are happy to communicate and accommodate all proposals.
In summer time (May 15 to Sept 15) when the beach sand warms up the price is almost double that of the early spring, fall and winter - the area is lovely at this time of year as well. Peak times will be June through end of August. Please check our weekly and monthly prices for those times. This cottage is great for family summer vacations and/or adults who need time away.
Whether you are interested in tranquility or summer fun the cottage is great.
At this time the cottage is set up with internet but no cable. The families that stayed here in the summer months liked it that way. It would get the kids out of the house rather than in front of the TV. It is easy to add netflicks if you need movies and tv series, just ask. We are willing to set you up with services to combat the wintertime blues - let us know. We usually meet guests at the cottage to check in and out.
This place is a great getaway in Ontario Canada. Great for personal get aways if you want to get that writing done - a number of writers have written in the comfy swivel rockers - an inspiring space.

Gerry's little cottege was the perfect place for our family vacation. It was only 30 minutes to Niagara Falls, near other small towns and a couple of blocks to the beach. He was really communicative and concerned to make sure all we needed was provided. I'd definitely rent from him again should the need arise. Thank you so much.
Gerry was amazing in his communication, even during our stay when we had questions. Everything was at our fingertips and we had use of the dry goods on hand. We loved the proximity to The Falls, Safari Niagara and US shopping. Thanks for a great family memory.
Gerry was very accommodating with the arrangement for arrival and very flexible as well with the space. Since we picked the coldest weekend thus far this winter, Gerry was kind enough to come by to check on us to ensure we are warm enough. The neighbourhood was quiet and we had a nice walk even though it was quite cold. Beautiful area. Exactly what I expected with a break from the city.
Gerry has been a fantastic host from first contact. The cottage is newly decorated and amazingly cozy, we really felt at home. Being close to the lake front was great. We didn't have a car but got around fine on bikes and public transport. Gerry was even kind enough to give us rides to Fort Erie for groceries on more than one occasion. The location, grounds and cottage amenities great but it is Gerry who really makes the place, he is always on hand and willing to help in whatever way he can. We are really grateful for our relaximg time here, we loved being so close to the beach, great restaurants and so many lovely, welcoming people. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to everyone and will definitely be returning. Thanks again to Gerry for everything!
We had a great time in the cottage. Gerry was very helpfull and explained everything, offered help when ever we needed. We felt very welcomed and "at home" straight away. The male part loved the outdoor bathroom. ;)Thanks for a few wonderfull days.
Gerry's cottage was a wonderful vacation spot for our family and we really enjoyed our stay. We had a long drive and arrived really late, when everything was closed, and it was a delightful surprise to find blueberries and other snacks in the fridge, which Gerry kindly prepares for all his guests. He is easy to communicate with and is happy to give helpful info about the area, places to eat, and answer other questions. The cottage itself is small, but very cozy, comfortable and clean. It has a very nice updated bathroom. Its great for kids because there is a big backyard and its right on the beach. Everything you see in the listing and pictures is exactly what you get. Great spot for vacationing in Ontario!
