About this listing
Double bedroom available in our lovely cosy house in quiet leafy square. Easy 20 minute walk to city centre and close to LUAS and bus. Lovely neighbourhood with restaurants and pubs, also near to the Pheonix Park and popular tourist attractions.
The room is nice and bright with a comfortable double bed. There is hanging space in the wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
We provide fresh towels and bedding.
The bathroom is shared but very close to the bedroom and clean and bright with electric shower.
You are welcome to use the kitchen and if staying for an extended period we can organise washing machine access (please note though there is no tumble dryer).
We have high speed unlimited broadband and there is an open fire in the living room which you are also welcome to use.
There is also a small outside decked area that you are more than welcome to use in the warmer weather.
Interaction with Guests
We (my fiance Enda and I) live in the house. We both work during the day so the house will be empty from early in the morning until mid afternoon.
We know Dublin well and will be very happy to chat with our guests and offer advice and information on Dublin. I work in the theatre so can particularly offer advice on cultural events if this is of interest.
We will do our best to accommodate any particular needs and requests, although would appreciate advance notice of anything unusual.
Stoneybatter/ Arbour Hill is a fantastic area, close to the city centre and with many attractions in the nearby vicinity. These include Phoenix Park, Guiness Brewery, Jameson Distillery, Irish Museum of Modern Art and Lighthouse Cinema.
There are also some lovely, pubs, restaurants and cafes in and around stoneybatter itself and we'll be happy to give recommendations.
The house is an easy 20-25 minute stroll into the centre of the city.
We are next to the red LUAS (tram) line and close to several bus routes.
We are also 10 minutes away from Heuston station for anyone wishing to travel further afield.
There is free parking available in the square.
The house is around 20-30 minutes drive from the airport.
There are no house rules as such. We would just ask you to respect that the house is our home and to treat it as you would your own.
Also please note that the house is in a quiet residential area so please keep the noise down if coming back late at night.
We had an Amazing time at this house. The room is very confortable and warm. And the special one of this house is the lovely couple Maisie and Enda. They do everything to make you feel home. I dont have anything bad to talk
Maisie and Enda are INCREDIBLE hosts, with a beautiful and welcoming apartment, exceptional advice for navigating Dublin, and the willingness to help out however and whenever they can. We've taken advantage of a number of AirBnb places over the years, and they are probably the best we've found.
Although we spent the majority of our trip in Ireland driving across the country, Maisie and Enda were very thoughtful and kind upon our arrival. The bnb location is slightly out of the way, was very hard to navigate back to if you plan to rent a car and was located behind a prison (whose siren went off our first night) but all in all, we enjoyed our time there.
We stayed here for 2 nights, the house is really charming, in a quiet area close to the city centre. Maisie and Enda gave us a warm welcome and lots of advices to visit Dublin. They are really nice hosts. They recommended us a lovely and typical pub close to their house.
We do recommend Maisie and Enda house!
It was a wonderful stay, the room was exactly like in the pictures, bright and comfortable.
The apartment is about 35 min walk to the city centre (City Hall), but we like walking, so it was OK for us. There is a tram station about 5-7 min walk from the apartment, it can take you to the centre if you don't like walking.
The most important thing is that Maisie and Enda were the most welcoming, friendly and helpful hosts ever!!! It was a real pleasure to meet people like them, they gave us lots of helpful information, and took care of us like we were their friend.
If we come back to Dublin, we will definitely be happy to stay there again.
