Double bedroom available in our lovely cosy house in quiet leafy square. Easy 20 minute walk to city centre and close to LUAS and bus. Lovely neighbourhood with restaurants and pubs, also near to the Pheonix Park and popular tourist attractions.
The room is nice and bright with a comfortable double bed. There is hanging space in the wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
We provide fresh towels and bedding.
The bathroom is shared but very close to the bedroom and clean and bright with electric shower.
You are welcome to use the kitchen and if staying for an extended period we can organise washing machine access (please note though there is no tumble dryer).
We have high speed unlimited broadband and there is an open fire in the living room which you are also welcome to use.
There is also a small outside decked area that you are more than welcome to use in the warmer weather.
Interaction with Guests
We (my fiance Enda and I) live in the house. We both work during the day so the house will be empty from early in the morning until mid afternoon.
We know Dublin well and will be very happy to chat with our guests and offer advice and information on Dublin. I work in the theatre so can particularly offer advice on cultural events if this is of interest.
We will do our best to accommodate any particular needs and requests, although would appreciate advance notice of anything unusual.
Stoneybatter/ Arbour Hill is a fantastic area, close to the city centre and with many attractions in the nearby vicinity. These include Phoenix Park, Guiness Brewery, Jameson Distillery, Irish Museum of Modern Art and Lighthouse Cinema.
There are also some lovely, pubs, restaurants and cafes in and around stoneybatter itself and we'll be happy to give recommendations.
The house is an easy 20-25 minute stroll into the centre of the city.
We are next to the red LUAS (tram) line and close to several bus routes.
We are also 10 minutes away from Heuston station for anyone wishing to travel further afield.
There is free parking available in the square.
The house is around 20-30 minutes drive from the airport.
There are no house rules as such. We would just ask you to respect that the house is our home and to treat it as you would your own.
Also please note that the house is in a quiet residential area so please keep the noise down if coming back late at night.
It was a wonderful stay, the room was exactly like in the pictures, bright and comfortable.
The apartment is about 35 min walk to the city centre (City Hall), but we like walking, so it was OK for us. There is a tram station about 5-7 min walk from the apartment, it can take you to the centre if you don't like walking.
The most important thing is that Maisie and Enda were the most welcoming, friendly and helpful hosts ever!!! It was a real pleasure to meet people like them, they gave us lots of helpful information, and took care of us like we were their friend.
If we come back to Dublin, we will definitely be happy to stay there again.
This was an absolute great first experience wih AirBnb ! I didn't know we will get the chance to know a host so attentive with his guests ! It's a shame Maisie was away but Enda did a really great job ! First, he came and pick us up at the bus station to help us out with our bags (and also we could not get lost this way!).Then: we got 2 irish mugs as a St Patrick's present ! Lovely !! The place was as cosy and clean as in the pictures! We slept very well and a continental breakfast was ready for us in the kitchen every morning ! 20mins walk from center, but really, we never thought it was too much ! And the area is nice and calm, and one of the pub around home became one of our favorite ! And if you don't want to walk : the tram is 5min away from home ! We took it only two times!
Really, St Patrick's days is not the good days to get to know Irish customs and habits so that's why it was a chance to stay at this place because Enda explains a lot of things about the city and country and also he showed us some places to go to eat and drink, around the house and away from tourists attractions (where real irish people go!)! He even had a drink with us the first night and the last night with his friends who were as lovely as him !
I so recommend Maisie and Enda for your stay in Dublin! From the beginning, Maisie was welcoming and very friendly in our emails exchange, and Enda made it perfect once there ! He was very open and funny, and patient with our english ! We had fun from beginning until the end ! We just felt like home !
We had a great weekend thanks to Maisie and Enda who where really nice and helpful. The apartment was clean and cosy. We definitely recommend them if you want to spend few days in Dublin and experience the Irish culture. Thanks again for everything!
Maisie was very warm and welcoming upon our arrival. She was very understanding despite our late arrival. She gave us useful info regarding directions and places to visit. The room and facilities were great. We even had a continental breakfast provided, which was a nice surprise. The street was quiet but felt safe. Location was a little bit out from the city so we cabbed back on Sat night.
The starting of a trip is the most important. Thanks to Maisie And Enda our starting of a new life in Dublin was simply great.
The house is very nice. With all comforts. Really clean. Good breakfast. We couldn't ask for more.
The guys are exceptional. They have helped us as much as they could. They are always smiling, available to help also when they have not do to. Extremely friendly.
I 100% recommend everybody coming to Dublin to visit Maisie And Enda.
We had a great experience in Maisie and Enda's house. We couldn't meet Maisie because she was not there but Enda was a perfect amphitrion. He gave us the freedom to make us feel like home. He gave us some maps, guides and tips for restaurants near the zone. He left the breakfast in the kitchen all the mornings. The house is small but comfortable and with all the facilites required. We were happy with the experience and recommend it.
Maisie was great, she provided really excellent instructions to the flat and was home to welcome us when we arrived on the Friday evening. She had also prepared some great suggestions for what to do in Dublin over the weekend. Would happily recommend this place to anyone visiting the city.
We would be very happy to welcome you to our home. We both know Dublin well and will be on hand to offer advice and information to help you with your travels. Enda is a primary school teacher and I work in the theatre so can particularly offer advice on the cultural life of the city if that is of interest to you.
We enjoy travelling, eating out and entertaining friends, cinema, music and theatre and hope we will have lots to chat with our guests about.
