Double bedroom available in our lovely cosy house in quiet leafy square. Easy 20 minute walk to city centre and close to LUAS and bus. Lovely neighbourhood with restaurants and pubs, also near to the Pheonix Park and popular tourist attractions.

The space

The room is nice and bright with a comfortable double bed. There is hanging space in the wardrobe and a chest of drawers.

We provide fresh towels and bedding.

The bathroom is shared but very close to the bedroom and clean and bright with electric shower.

Guest access

You are welcome to use the kitchen and if staying for an extended period we can organise washing machine access (please note though there is no tumble dryer).

We have high speed unlimited broadband and there is an open fire in the living room which you are also welcome to use.

There is also a small outside decked area that you are more than welcome to use in the warmer weather.

Interaction with guests

We (my husband Enda, small dog Dinky and I) live in the house. We both work during the day so the house will be empty from early in the morning until mid afternoon.

We know Dublin well and will be very happy to chat with our guests and offer advice and information on Dublin. I work in the theatre so can particularly offer advice on cultural events if this is of interest.

We will do our best to accommodate any particular needs and requests, although would appreciate advance notice of anything unusual.

Other things to note

As noted above we have a small dog called Dinky. She is very friendly, sleeps in our room with us and shouldn't bother guests, but we would insist that all guests who book the room are dog lovers!

Maisie, Enda and Dinky are FABULOUS hosts. This was our first AirBNB experience where we stayed with in a private room within a house as opposed to renting an entire place alone. We were a but worried that it would feel weird, or like we were in the way, but the three of them make you feel so incredibly at home. You almost forget that you don't all live there together all the time! Maisie was absolutely incredible with her directions before arrival and both she and Enda have wonderful recommendations that they are happy to share with you. They also set out such a thoughtful and much appreciated basic breakfast of breads, cereals and fruit which we were not expecting! The final night we were a bit tired and they let us play some of their board games and just hang out in their kitchen. They are so relaxed and wonderful and have such warm and welcoming personalities. The flat is in a GREAT location to catch the 747 airport shuttle bus and is only about a 30-minute walk to the city center but is well connected via LUAS and buses if you prefer not to walk. There are great local pubs and restaurants in their area too. We would 100% go back and stay with Maisie, Enda and Dinky and definitely recommend it to you!

Maisie and Enda (and Dinky) are great souls - the kind that welcome you into their home and look out for you as they would good friends. The house is tucked into a quiet, safe, and beautifully maintained residential area that makes you feel part of the fabric of Dublin rather than a loose thread. Staying in a neighborhood and frequenting the local spots made it possible to enjoy the daily rhythm of the city. Maisie and Enda, of course, offered us great advice as well - especially pertaining to food, history, and theater. We had a fantastic time in Dublin, and we no doubt owe a lot of that to having a wonderful home base. You are in the best of hands (and paws) here.

My parents were delighted with their stay (3 weeks!) and Maisie & Enda. It really felt like home, up to the Xmas tree in the living room. Thanks a lot for making it a great experience for them.

We had a very nice stay at Maisie's and Enda's house. It is close to Phoenix Park and Dublin Zoo and a very comfortable place to be. Maisie and Enda prepared a lovely breakfast for us. The bathroom was clean and the room had a big and cosy bed.

We had a fantastic stay with Maisie and Enda! They were both wonderfully friendly and provided us with maps and suggestions of best sites / restaurants to check out upon our arrival, which was very helpful as this was our first time visiting Dublin and Ireland in general! We took several day trips during our time in Dublin, and Maisie and Enda helped us make a few calls to determine where to travel - as Enda is from Galway he provided great input for us on where to travel on the west coast during our stay. Great location within easy walking distance to the Liffey River with quite a few pubs and restaurants close by - just a short drive from Phoenix Park and an easy walk to Guinness Storehouse, St. Patrick's Cathedral and plenty of other attractions. Thank you so much for your hospitality! Highly recommend these hosts to anyone looking to stay in Dublin! :)

It was a lovely stay at Maisie's and Enda's home. Before we arrived we received a very detailed description so it was very easy to find their place. We felt very welcome and every morning they prepared breakfast for us. They gave us also special tips where to eat and what to visit in both Dublin and the area around. We really enjoyed our time in Ireland and highly recommend their cosy place.

We would be very happy to welcome you to our home. We both know Dublin well and will be on hand to offer advice and information to help you with your travels. Enda is a primary school teacher and I work in the theatre so can particularly offer advice on the cultural life of the city if that is of interest to you.

We enjoy travelling, eating out and entertaining friends, cinema, music and theatre and hope we will have lots to chat with our guests about.
