Cosy house in convenient location

House - Private room · Provost Row, Arbour Hill, Dublin 7 D 7, Ireland

Double bedroom available in our lovely cosy house in quiet leafy square. Easy 20 minute walk to city centre and close to LUAS and bus. Lovely neighbourhood with restaurants and pubs, also near to the Pheonix Park and popular tourist attractions.

The Space

The room is nice and bright with a comfortable double bed. There is hanging space in the wardrobe and a chest of drawers.

We provide fresh towels and bedding.

The bathroom is shared but very close to the bedroom and clean and bright with electric shower.

Guest Access

You are welcome to use the kitchen and if staying for an extended period we can organise washing machine access (please note though there is no tumble dryer).

We have high speed unlimited broadband and there is an open fire in the living room which you are also welcome to use.

There is also a small outside decked area that you are more than welcome to use in the warmer weather.

Interaction with Guests

We (my partner Enda and I) live in the house. We both work during the day so the house will be empty from early in the morning until mid afternoon.

We know Dublin well and will be very happy to chat with our guests and offer advice and information on Dublin. I work in the theatre so can particularly offer advice on cultural events if this is of interest.

We will do our best to accommodate any particular needs and requests, although would appreciate advance notice of anything unusual.

The Neighborhood

Stoneybatter/ Arbour Hill is a fantastic area, close to the city centre and with many attractions in the nearby vicinity. These include Phoenix Park, Guiness Brewery, Jameson Distillery, Irish Museum of Modern Art and Lighthouse Cinema.

There are also some lovely, pubs, restaurants and cafes in and around stoneybatter itself and we'll be happy to give recommendations.

Getting around

The house is an easy 20-25 minute stroll into the centre of the city.

We are next to the red LUAS (tram) line and close to several bus routes.

  • My friend and I had an amazing stay with Maisie and her boyfriend. They are so nice and thoughtful and made us feel right at home providing some great advice on exploring the beautiful city of Dublin. I have no complaints! They are great!

  • Great host! Loved the location since there was no problem for parking for my rental car and it was pretty close to the town center.

  • Lovely, clean home. Masie was very accommodating if our travel plans and gave some great restaurant recommendations.

  • My friend and I had the pleasure of staying in Maisie & Enda's home for 1 week in Feb/Mar 2014. We IMMEDIATELY felt welcome and comfortable in their home. The place was perfect... clean, warm and spacious. The house is located Arbour Hill which is a quick 20 minute walk to the city center. There are also buses and a tram nearby. When we didn't want to go all the way into the city, we went to Stoneybatter (about 5 minutes away) for food, groceries or a pint. We often walked back to the apartment late at night and always felt safe in this sweet little neighbourhood. Above all, Maisie & Enda were such great hosts and welcomed us wholeheartedly into their home and city. They had lots of information to help us make the most of our trip and were always available for any questions we had. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

  • Maisie's boyfriend Enda was kind enough to meet us in town and take us back to his residence. He was very kind and accommodating, a lovely young man. Enda and my husband went out for some drinks at night and had a nice time. Our conversation with Enda was educational and fun. Maisie was also pleasant. Location was good. The only negative was that the kitchen could have been cleaner.

  • Maisie and Enda were fantastic hosts! They are very helpful, thoughtful and super nice! We were lucky enough to spend some time with Enda, as he was available for a few drinks and great conversation!

The house itself is tidy, clean, nice and comfortable. The room was perfect, they provided us with towels and the wifi password. The location of the house was great for us- a 5 minute walk from the LUAS or a 20 minute walk from the city center, while being close to Phoenix Park, the Guiness Storehouse and the Kilmainham Gaol.

We couldn't reccommend staying with them more! We really enjoyed our stay! Keep up the good work, guys!
