We had such a great experience and so much fun at this house!! It had everything we could of needed and more. We especially enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the lake and the game room that came in really handy since we didn't have the greatest weather the weekend we went. There was so much to do that I don't know how we would have enjoyed everything that Paul & Anne offer even if we had perfect weather. The completely stocked kitchen, the comfortable beds, awesome views, and terrific house insured that we had a great time! We will be back for sure!
My birthday weekend at the lake house was, in one word, perfect. From the time I reached out to Paul and Anne through follow-up the day after my stay, they were the epitome of hospitality. Quick responses to questions and detailed directions were just the start. When I arrived, I found some birthday surprises and a property full of literally anything you could need. We ended up being a group of 8 (we had intended to be 10) and this was a great size for us. We could have fit several more people quite comfortably. The lake was clearly inhabited, but still very peaceful and most of the time we felt like we had the whole thing to ourselves. My friends, who can be rather hard to impress, were blown away and kept saying, throughout the weekend, what a great find this was and how we should definitely book again. I'm seriously considering making this an annual event. Although next time I'll need to extend the stay because 3 nights is just not enough! After we had cleaned and packed up, several of us went and sat on the dock for over an hour just because we didn't want to leave. I could go on and on (more than I already have), but suffice it to say you will not be disappointed with any part of your experience.
We had a lovely getaway girls weekend and Paul was incredibly helpful. The house was beautiful and perfectly cozy for our winter weekend. The hot tub was bubbling and view of the lake was beautiful. Paul & Anne were always reachable and gave great trips to make our weekend perfect.
Paul's house was perfect for our annual winter retreat. Everyone was comfortably accommodated, as there were plenty of beds available to sleep in. We spent many hours playing games and assembling a puzzle at the large dining room table and were all able to sit comfortably in the family room area. We cooked for every meal and found no shortage of pans and cooking utensils to assemble meals for ten. The best part was getting out on the frozen lake and skating, especially since there are plenty if skates people could borrow.
We had an amazing weekend and hope to be able to rent through Paul again.
My friends and I stayed at Paul's house to ring in the new year - we all LOVED it and had a great time. The house is wonderful - very large, with three fireplaces (wood stove, pellet stove and a propane fireplace that you can just switch on). Made for a very cozy winter environment. The house was also very well stocked with anything we could think of - utensils, etc for cooking, board games - as well as having plenty of outdoor activities like the hot tub, a firepit and propane grill. We also liked being right on the lake - steps from the house lead straight down to a small private dock. Mount snow took about 1h15m to drive to and Killington was about 1h45m. Paul was a very courteous host and checked in on us - overall, we thought the house was exactly what we were looking for and would definitely come back again!
Wonderful property with tons of things to do! Very well represented by owner - beautiful area, gorgeous & peaceful lake, and easy access to towns like Keene for shopping/groceries.
We had a great experience with Paul. His responses were very quick and helpful. He also checked in with us while we were there to see if we needed anything. The lake house was really great and worked well for our needs. We had four adults, three dogs and a 4 month old baby. The house is large and has a really beautiful great room with cathedral ceilings and sky lights. The decor includes a great eclectic mixture of antiques. The dock led to a great swimming area and we enjoyed using the paddle boat and kayaks. The lake was quiet and pretty. The only downside to our experience were the numbers of mosquitoes , but there isn't much Paul could do about that! Overall we had a great time and would recommend this rental.
