Joanne was friendly and responded pretty quickly to texts. The apartment is in a great location - lots of cute restaurants and right next to the train. I definitely recommend taking a walk along the beach. The living room doesn't have any light which is strange and was a negative for me. Wifi was really slow and TV doesn't have cable. I recommend Joanne's place but I think it should cost less.
Thank you very much Sarah for your review.
I am sorry you were disappoint with no lights in the living room. Please do note there is lights in the eating area which it connected to the living room as well as the hallway lights. for most people that is enough. I do have an extra lamp available in the hallway closet available for any guest who would like more lighting in the living room. Usually, most guest have no need to use it.
I do state on my page, TV does not have cable but there is a DVD player as well DVD I left for anyone to enjoy. The cable is something I am working on for the near future. Thank you again!
I had a wonderful stay at Joanne's apartment in Chicago. Joanne's apartment is big, bright, airy and colourful, in a lovely renovated, secure low-rise building. The location was super convenient, right next door to the Morse subway stop, and there was a very nice grocery store a block away where I bought ingredients for meals. Joanne is a very sweet person and a great host, and went out of her way to greet me when I arrived. The apartment was a bit chilly in the spring evenings, and she made sure to get me a new space heater that warmed the room up nicely.
I suggested a few little things to Joanne that would improve the stay, and she may be following up on it: tea kettle, dish rack, etc. There was wifi shared across the whole floor of the building, but it often didn't work when I (and everyone else) wanted to access it. Other than that, I completely enjoyed Joanne's spacious and lovely place, where I was able to relax after busy days in Chicago!
