The studio was exactly as advertised. Thomas was in contact with me before and after I arrived to make sure all was well. The pets are friendly and fun, and the instructions for their care were clear and simple. I was surprised at how quiet the neighborhood was for the Fourth of July weekend. The beach is a short and pleasant walk from the studio - I wished that I had booked another day, as I would have liked to have had more time to enjoy it (wedding festivities ate up most of my time.) I would gladly recommend Thomas' place.
Tom's place is in delightful little corner of Goleta. Although a little ways from downtown, it's a great location if you want to cycle down to Coal Oil Point or explore the UCSB campus (which we did).
We found Tom to be extremely gracious, generous and patient with us. Absolutely top notch.
My Girlfriend and I found Tom's pets delightful, but they do require some work; about an hour each morning, which you can kind of interleave with doing your own thing, but only kind of, and some time at night. We were happy to interact with the pets but just be more aware that they do have to be watched a bit.
We stayed at Tom's place a full week. The studio had everything essential that we needed. We cooked plenty and really made it a home base for us (a married couple). The studio comes with some responsibility, but if you are an animal lover it will be a treat! Bunnies bounce, a feline frolics, a few more surprises in store, too. Tom and Dana leave precise instructions so keeping your cuddly roommates happy is easy. Yes, a beach is nearby, but we were on business so didn't get to it, sadly. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay.
Tom's place was great! It was in a convenient location and close to a beautiful beach. My boyfriend and I really liked the trail and would definitely visit Santa Barbara again. The cat and bunnies are quite entertaining, you should definitely be an animal lover if you're going to stay at Tom's. Tom have good directions and nicely checked in to make sure we got there safely.
My daughter and I just returned from a terrific weekend spent at Tom's place. The studio is steps away from a beautiful Eucalyptus forest trail leading to a secluded beach--an ideal city getaway and exactly what we needed. Tom's place is a studio filled with adorable critters and my daughter woke up giggling thanks to the 2 bunnies who she found endlessly entertaining. The bed is ver comfortable and Tom thoughtfully left a huge bunch if bananas on the table, which happen to be Maya's favorite food. There is no microwave at his place and as it's compact it took some searching to figure out where the silverware was hiding, but these were tiny glitches and we had a fantastic time. I would definitely go again, and hopefully soon!
Tom greeted us with a nice red wine and (email hidden)e studio was clean and a few minutes to a wonderful eucalyptus grove and Goleta beach. Tom was flexible about our dates as we travel standby and I had also a nasty virus which thankfully was soon forgotten as we soaked up the sun, My daughters enjoyed the animals/ THANK YOU Tom
