Vielen Dank.
What a friendly welcome from Katrin. Her place is so amazing, as one would expect from a 13th century house. The place exudes charm and peace. Bathroom is modern but the bedroom and meditation area have I guess remained unchanged over the centuries. The location of Katrin's house is also perfect next to the lake. Katrin kindly arranged a spectacular breakfast which was truly a work of art. I can't wait to return.
Katrin house is so peaceful and welcoming. She made us feel that we were welcome right away. Her home is quiet and clean and historic and special. My husband and I loved it from the moment we turned down the road and passed the farm and cows. When we walked through the gate to the house it was just what we expected and more. Katrin's makes the most delicious breakfast.
Katrin and her place were great and was most welcoming. We loved her animals and her cosy room. The only problem was her breakfast, it was too much and way too yummy.
Katrin was a wonderful host. Her home is lovely, very clean, and well cared for being that it is so old, it felt almost like a spa. I arrived after a long tour of France and staying in her home was peaceful and relaxing, just what I needed. She has lots of animals, which I enjoyed very much, but she is good about keeping them out of your space. The house is a little difficult to find, you just have to go left of the cow stalls, but once you find it you will be pleased. There is a nearby Italian Restaurant that I highly recommend, and it is right up the hill - a 5 minute beautiful walk. It is also a great home base if you are looking to explore St. Beatus Caves, Lauterbrunnen, Grindlewald, Thun, & Berne.
Anyone wanting to meet a wonderful host and have a pleasant and unique stay should visit Katrin.
Katrin was incredibly helpful, a real people pleaser. Her breakfasts were outstanding. She gave me rides to Berne , Thun, and the countryside in conjunction with her errands. I'm afraid I fell in love with one of her kittens.
If you don't like cats it's probably not a good place for you. The only other downside is that the house is very old, designed for shorter people. You need to duck when walking through certain doorways. I forgot once. Doh!
Katrin is a nice host. She and her house are lovely. If you like animals, it is the place you should stay. I love the style of her house. If I go there agian, I will still choose to live in her house.
