Other Things to Note

Our location speaks for itself. If you want to be where the action is and want to be able to walk everywhere this is your place. It is not a "quite" spot and if you are a light sleeper it may not be for you. Of course a set of earplugs could fix everything.

  • What a wonderful apartment, made my trip to New Orleans very special! I felt very homely in the apartment, and the fact that I was able to wash and dry my clothes the first day was highly appreciated, as by the time I arrived I had been travelling for a week. Earl went through everything with me - from showing how the washing machine and air con work to texting me a cab number the day before I was leaving. I felt very looked after, and both Susanne and Earl were absolutely perfect hosts. I will definitely return to stay here next time I'm coming back to New Orleans. Thank you Susanne and Earl! :)

  • What an awesome location! This place is fantastic and really gets you into the heart of New Orleans. We loved sitting on the balcony people watching and hanging out. If you want to be in the french quarter, walking distance to almost everything then this is the place. We felt like we had a little apartment in the quarter and it was a blast. the apartment is well stocked with comfy couches and a nice bed that allows you to escape the city when you need to. Great experience all around and I recommend getting it if you are looking!

  • What a great spot! I had a bit of a early check in to deal with and Susanne was there for open communication. The property manager Earl was the coolest and easy to talk to about the particulars.

Great Experience, great place! I have nothing but good wishes for Susanne and Earl for the future. What else is there to say?

  • Wonderful stay! The place is in great shape. We were met by a really nice gentleman who let us in and checked in by text to make sure we were having a good time. The location is perfect. between Frenchman and Canal. The balcony is awesome. Noise is a non-factor if you your from a city. Close the shutters and turn on the ac you will get a good night sleep. Highly recommended!

  • This place is incredible, clean as can be, and gorgeous. If you really want to feel like you're in New Orleans, look no further - it's right in the middle of everything, and has suprisingly easy parking for $20 a day. Even better, Earl took great care of us and made sure we had a smooth experience.

  • Perfect location to experience NOLA. We usually stay in a hotel when we are in the city. Decided to change it up a bit and very glad we did. Would definitely stay there again!

  • The apartment is in the heart of French Quarter, on a busy street, where you are in the middle of the French Quarter life. The street is noisy, but that's expected at such a location, bring your ear plugs.

The apartment is spacious, has a table in the kitchen area (although no windows there), a large room, and a large balcony where you can sit, sip wine, and watch the life in the street. The bed in the room sleeps two, the couch is not a sleeper couch but one person can sleep on it OK.

Checking in was quick and easy – we texted Earl from the taxi on our way from the airport and he's been waiting for us. Short and to the point instructions and we were on our own. Checking out was even easier – we left the keys and shut the door.

If you need a taxi I don't recommend to use United Taxi – they take your request and very likely won't come. Better to use Alliance Cab, more reliable service especially if you are going to the airport to catch your flight.

  • This place was incredible, right in the thick of it. You are right in the French Quarter, a block away from Cafe du Monde and a couple of minutes from Frenchmen St to the North or Bourbon St to the West. The apartment itself is cozy with plenty of room. It comes with a kitchen if you need it and a full bathroom. The balcony overlooks busy Decatur street and (email hidden) to sit comfortably and enjoy the show. Someone was there to let us in and give us a quick tour of the place as well as some recommendations of what to do and see.

  • We had a great visit. This apartment is right in the heart of the French Quarter, easy walks to all the hotspots, plus Frenchman street. We loved the apartment, the balcony, everything. It felt like a home away from home. Earl, who manages the property, could not have been nicer or more helpful. We arrived very late in the evening, and Earl graciously met us and showed us around. All around wonderful visit! We hope to be able to enjoy Susanne's place again.

A note about noise: This is not a quiet location. We were totally fine with the noise and ambiance, it's what we wanted. (We loved it.) But you will need ear plugs to sleep, especially on the weekends.

I absolutely love New Orleans and everything about it. I have owned homes here for several years and have family here that work in the jazz clubs. Although, I love to visit the city as much as possible, I have 3 kids and work out of town. Therefore, I try to share my home with others who have the same love for this wonderful city. My apartment is located right on Decatur with a large balcony, perfect for people watching nights with a glass of wine! Being in the heart of the French Quarter, it makes enjoying the many, many music venues, art exhibits, and phenomenal restaurants a walking distance experience. I do hope you enjoy visiting my home as much as my family loves our little get-away piece of paradise!
