Interaction with Guests
I can provide access to breakfast each day if guests wish for a small additional fee.and when I prepare dinner there is always enough for guests and friends. It is just a short walk into town for a variety of options for all meals. I am happy to share my knowledge of the community and to provide as much or as little friendly interaction as is appropriate.
Bellport Village is a quaint historic fishing village located on the Great South Bay. There are restaurants and a few shops. You can take the ferry to very quiet private beach on Fire Island. There is also a swimming pool on the property which guests have access to.
We are a short distance from the Long Island Railroad. 1 1/2 hour from NYC a short beautiful drive to the North Fork Wine District. Walking distance to the ferry and village.
Other Things to Note
The aerie can sleep up to six, but there is a shared bath and a per person charge. There is also a fabulous wrap around porch for just goofing off.
With respect, no smoking in the house. Pets on a case by case basis.
Our stay at Joyce's was lovely. The apartment is large and airy and beautifully appointed with art deco furniture and beautiful art. Joyce was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The room and private bath are lovely and spacious, and the bed is very comfortable. The neighborhood is very interesting, has at least one lovely restaurant where we had both a delicious dinner and breakfast right around the corner (Caffe Latte -- great local hangout), and her apartment is very close to the 2 and 3 subway lines which connect to everywhere you would want to go in NYC quickly (many are express trains to save you time if you are going to lower Manhattan). We would recommend Joyce and her Airbnb offering without reservation. Thank you, Joyce. We hope to be able to stay with you the next time we are in the city.
