Interaction with Guests
I can interact as much or less as the they need I am happy to help with any problems or enquiries.
The apartment is located in the heart of the old medina in tangier which is central to almost everything and is amazing if you want to get a feel of the old Moroccan culture in tangier.
Full of vibrant shops and personalities selling spices, food, traditional clothes and leather goods. Each ally way leads to something exciting. For those who love art
Getting around is easy as everything is walking distance. If needed, it is very easy to locate a taxi at any time and they are reasonably cheap!
Other Things to Note
There are no cooking utensils in the flat at the moment but I will be sorting that out very shortly. But there are plates and cutlery.
The house rules are that the guest should respect the neighbours and to treat the apartment with care as if it was there own.
Samir and his Apartment are just fantastic! Super host & space!! The Apartment is located in an ideal part of the old town, just a few minutes walk from a busy square, full of Moroccan life, but still quiet at night! The pictures of the Apartment show it exactly as it is, cute, stylist and many thoughtful details. The apartment space is perfectly utilized and contains everything you could possibly need for the ideal Moroccan experience.
Booking with Samir was really easy, as he communicated well and was extremely responsive to our many questions (our 1st time to Morocco). He was very flexible as we had to change our dates because of our ferry being cancelled due to high winds. Without hesitation he agreed to our alternative dates. Many, many thanks again for this!
We arrived at the apartment, after many travel delays, at 11pm but still Melika met us with a smile and gave us a nice introduction to the Apartment. Samir coordinated everything for us from London, as she only spoke French & Arabic, which was very much appreciated and necessary. The Apartment was very clean, tidy and Melika gave us fresh towels.
Our first experience of Morocco was enriched by Samir, Melika and his beautiful Apartment and we would without hesitation recommend it! 5 stars!! :-D
Samir's place was small but extremely well decorated with high ceilings and a beautiful rooftop that allowed us to view the whole city. Checking in was easy and checking out was easier. Would stay here again.
Samir is a nice and welcoming guy with an amazing apartment in the heart of the of the medina of Tangir.
Samir was fast in his replies in answering my questions. He picked us up at the agreed upon time and told us somethings about the city.
The medina offers a taste of the real Morocco. The apartment can be noisy at times but its part of the adventure.
Samir was very friendly and his flat was comfortable and in a great location.
Morocco was a unique experience in our trip. This was the one place that you must be extremely flexable in your plans otherwise you can be dissapointed. The apartment was small, but very cute. It was clean and a great place to stay. It is in the heart of the Medina, so if living among the locals is not what you are looking for, then I would recommend another apartment. We felt safe and secure and were able to see Tanger by just walking out of our door. I would recommend haveing a better plan with Samir, or Melika if Samir is out of town, than we did. Also, if your taxi driver from the airport tries to drop you off near the port instead of at Cinema Rif, do not let them. They can drive up.
Samir was away for our trip, so Melika met us. She was very nice and helpful. The apartment was in a perfect spot in the medina. It was close to everything we wanted to go see. The building is open with no door on the lower floor and the door to the apartment should have another lock, as it could easily be broken into. The flat looks just like in the picture, it's very cute. However, it was absolutely filthy. The carpet looked as if it hadn't been vacuumed in years. All of the upholstery was stained and dirty. There were only two blankets for the three beds, and both smelled and had crud all over them. The AC unit, the TV, the wifi, and the fridge all did not function, which was more of an inconvenience than a problem. However, behind the AC unit there is an actual hole the size of a grapefruit in the wall to the outside. Samir checked in and offered to help with any problems, but the issue was it would have taken several days to clean the apartment, all of the furniture, and the bedding. Seeing as we didn't want to leave our belongings in a room with strangers (the area is a little sketchy), we opted not to have the room cleaned. Generally cleanliness is something we expect upon arrival, and this place was just filthy.
