Our recently renovated cottage is very charming. The modern décor and the traditional building go hand in hand. There is love and care gone into every aspect of the house but, its far from perfect, a work in progress. The real gem however, is the setting. Tucked away on the scenic east side of the beautiful island, there are views from every window. The perfect getaway spot. There is a sandy beach right outside your doorstep. Walking and cycling distance from Kilronan and cliffs.

The space
The Killeany Cottages were built over one hundred years ago. We are putting the finishing touches to a renovation we started a few years ago. The original structure still stands but we did add a new extension that allows sun to pour in from double glass doors and windows. This luminous space is where the kitchen, dining area and bathroom are located. The living area is cosy and intimate with a traditional Irish fireplace.

County Galway, Ireland

Killeany is one twelve tiny villages on Inis Mór. The people, native Irish language speakers, are friendly and welcoming. Killeany is within walking and cycling distance from Kilronan. There are sights and things to do all around the island. Inishmore is great for those who love getting their walking shoes on and being active. The west of the island is more 'touristy' with sights like 'Dún Aonghusa' and 'The Worm Hole' but it is well worth getting off the beaten track and exploring the less-seen east of the island. 'The Black Fort', 'The Puffin Holes' and 'Port Aodha' are three amazing places to see. It is impossible to discover the entire island in one day!
