  • What a brilliant stay in Waipio. Studio was well furnished and included all our needs. A short walk to Waipio Valley. We enjoyed our stay and felt in love with the environment. Thanks for your assistance Stanley - it was a pleasure to meet you!
We will definately choose this studio, if we come to Waipio again.

  • This studio is wonderfully located for a single or couple wanting to explore the Hamakua Coast and its jewel: the Waipio Valley. We liked the shower and the furnishings in general. Evereything was squeaky clean - thank you Elaine! and thanks for welcoming us "home" in the evenings, Stanley!
We were out all day and usually had a very simple supper (microwaved or a single-pot meal). There was also a great pan to fry eggs or an omelete in and a toaster for our morning bagels, coffemaker etc. Enough cooking gadgets - for our needs anyway. There are some nice lunch places in Honoka' and we had some truly memorable picknicks. We stayed 6 nights and got to know the entire area really well. That might be a bit too long for some, but don't make the mistake of making only a day trip to Waipio. Plan 2-3 nights to enjoy it fully, and do consider "splurging" for a 4x4 tour down into Waipio - you'll never see the REAL Valley of Kings if you only hike down and up. One important tip to keep in mind as you plan your trip: Most of Honoka'as stores and cafes and the valley tours are closed on Sundays. Please also be aware that there is a fairly steep stairway leading up to the studio and no outdoor seating area. We didn't miss it at all, but good to know anyway. All in all it's a comfortable place to stay and good value for money. We wouldn't mind staying here again!

  • Elaine's place was in a wonderful spot located really close to the rim of the Waipio Valley. I really appreciated that she left a bunch of drinks in the fridge since there aren't a lot of shops close by. It had everything I needed for a really enjoyable stay and Elaine and her husband were really sweet and gave me some good advice for places to visit. The place is really clean, spacious and light which I liked a lot too. A perfect space for a couple to share too.

  • Cozy studio with partial ocean view. Definately a great value. We toured the whole island from here and will probably check here first if we return to the big Island.

  • This studio close to Waipo Valley was exceeding our expectations. Very clean, lovely hosts, and nice room with all cooking facilities. Breakfast offered was good, with real Kona coffee and local tea! Nice view on the ocean and 10 minutes on foot to the valley lookout. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who would like to visit this beautiful spot.

I own a vacation rental unit and have it listed here on AirBNB. I absolutely love meeting new people who stay at our VR. They are all so interesting. Hosting has been a great experience for me. I am absolutely addicted to online gaming and Korean dramas. I also love to watch movies at the theater and fill up on bad bad popcorn. Every now and then I enjoy a game of bowling. My hobbies are crafting and card making, sewing and crocheting. Who doesn't enjoy travel, huh. I just love it and my favorite destination is Las Vegas.
