Beautiful 8th floor unit in the Waikiki Grand Hotel. The place has it's own private lanai with ocean, diamond head, and zoo views. The hotel also has a public balcony on the 10th floor which boasts some of the most beautiful views of Waikiki. Just about 70 yards away from Waikiki Beach

The building has a laundry room on the bottom floor for your use. There is a pool in the building as well. (currently the pool is not open. I don't have an exact date when it will open.)
After April pool should be open.
Public piano in lobby.
Bus stop is directly across the street. Many restaurants and coffee shops nearby.
The amazing views and friendliness of this building make this place very special.
There is no parking. However there are a few options if you need parking. You can park for free around Kapiolani park which is about a 5 minute walk-Paki street side of park. Across the street parking at the zoo cost $1 an hour, this can be cheap since you only pay for what you need. You may be able to park in the hotel garage on a space available basis. You must call the hotel to inquire about a spot and reserve-ask hotel for current rate.
**HAWAII HOTEL & ACCOMMODATION TAXES OF 13.962% ARE INCLUDED IN THE PRICING****
I'm not present on property but live nearby. I generally just communicate with them through Airbnb website.
You right across street from small pier, ocean, and zoo. Kapiolani Park and aquarium are a few minutes walk (under 5) minutes.
The bus system here will take you to just about anywhere. It's one of the best systems in the US.
This apartment has a great location. It is at the quieter end of Wakiki. The beach is a block away. The place is compact but has what you need. The lock has a code which eliminated the need to carry a key. Free Wifi is nice to have, too. Staying in Honolulu can be an expensive proposition. This place allowed us to enjoy a little more and spend a little less. Francisco was very quickly responsive to any questions we had and was easy to work with. .
Very nice place! Good location, good design and clean. Thank you.
Hawaii is always an amazing experience and Francisco was always there when needed.
This location is very good but it has a few setbacks for us. We were there 11nights and the partying from the 2nd floor bar was quite loud at times during sleeping hours. The mornings which is our favourite time to be on the lanai with a coffee and Bailey's to enjoy the view, was ruined by the loud noise from the garbage truck that is parked below while another truck brings dumpsters to it from the back alley, every morning.
If your staying for a longer period of time, it's a very small unit.
Our stay was very pleasant. The appartement was perfect for us. Amazing location (just at the end of Waikiki). The view is very beautifull (beach and Diamond head) The appartement was clean. Francisco was very helpfull and available. We recommend warmly this place !
Our stay at Francisco's place in Waikiki was great. The apartment is perfect for a couple. The lanai with the view of the ocean is great. You are literally 50 steps away from the beach. With free wifi, a small but usable kitchen, a really comfortable bed, and a great and spacious layout - this place is really a great alternative to a hotel. Nearby you'll find it easy to park - either pay $1/hour or walk a little an park for free. There's a Starbucks around the corner,a bunch of convenience stores, and tons of places to eat. A great place, with great hosts. I would highly recommend.
Great place - close to the beach - great views! Loved the view of the park & zoo off the balcony. Francisco emailed, texted, and resoonded quickly to all our requests. All the rooms are small in the Grand, and we liked what they've done in this place.
Excellent location with easy access to shops, the beach and necessary bus stops. Everything is pretty much in walking distance. The apartment looks smaller than what it appears in the photos because of the mirrors. There were issues with the toilet- it clogged twice and with no one to help we had to ask the hotel to borrow the plunger to do it ourselves. One night, the entire building had a water stoppage because of flooding and this was quite inconvenient. Towels and beach towels were handy. There was also some small blood stains on the bed, so while other reviews say the apartment was quite clean, I'm not too sure. The bed is also quite soft and this made me sore after a couple of nights. It was great to have the hotel lobby there as we were able to ask about buses/restaurants/shops etc.
Our stay couldn't have been better. I loved waking up to beautiful sunrises over Diamondhead and sounds of zoo animals waking up. The place was very clean and everything you need is there (or you can ask Francisco and he will arrange it for you). I hope to stay there again some time!
Great stay! Right in the hub!! A stroll to all the restaurants and hotels. A stones throw from the beach. If you need anything its at your fingertips!! Clean and tidy. Great communication. Thanks for the stay we had a awesome time! Good old fashioned hospitality.
First let me give the owners 5* ratiings. Very professional, timely and responsive. The condo has a million dollar view, and is truely steps from the beach. Starbucks, nightclub, pic nic to go store , beach rentals all can be measured in feet fromt the front door. No onsite parking but a free and easy lot is within a 7 minutes walk. That is remarkable for this location!
Our experience was poor not because of the owners, but a problem with the AirBnB concept. We had 3 nights, first night had a loud neighbour, no front desk to call to ask them to take care of it. This is a private building. Quiet by 1am and 730am the door bangs .A flood in a lower unit, they check all rooms. Fans in the hall are set up re mildew from unit next door.
This is not a hotel, so no changing rooms. What can you do?
You move! Double the cost. It is what it is.
As to the unit, as per previous reviews re the AC is correct, you cannot sleep with AC on being beside the bed. The bath vanity is not very functional, there is no formal closest but this is a small studio apartment with a lanai. Most reviews speak too a high level of cleanliness, I still believe them to be correct. In high holiday season with high turnover our experience was only adequate. There is no insurance for our type of experience, others have and others will surely do better in the future.
You are getting a million dollar view for pennies on the dollar.
