Sanur is a quiet and relaxed beachside village on the eastern side of Bali.
We love Sanur for this reaon because it lacks the chaos and traffic that is often seen in Kuta and Seminyak.
A boardwalk runs along the 5km stretch of the beach and you will often see people jogging, walking or riding their push bikes along here. Push bikes are for hire throughout Sanur and makes for an easy way of getting around.
It's the perfect place to relax and get away from everything while also maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
There are green buses that you can jump on from anywhere along the main road of Sanur.
Hop on like the locals do and the driver will drop you off anywhere along the main road or back to the villa.
This is a great way to get around as taxis can be more expensive for small journeys around Sanur. And they're great for those travelling with kids.
Otherwise there are moped for rent or bicycles which will get you where you need to go. Sanur is small enough to travel easily on bikes without the heavy traffic you see in more populated places of Bali.
Getting around Sanur is very easy because it is only a small town.
Bicycles are a great way to get around and these are offered through the villa.
Taxis are plentiful in Sanur and as it is a much quieter town compared to Kuta or Seminyak, they are easy and quick to flag down.
As mentioned above, green buses will have you getting around town like the locals and are a fun door to door transport option. Sure the drivers may not know much English, but they know streets and half the fun and experience of Bali is communicating with your arms!
Mopeds/motorbikes and cars can be rented for the duration of your stay, be sure to have an international licence though and motorbike cover on your travel insurance.
Another option to getting around Bali is with a driver who will take you to where you want to go and wait while you shop, dine and explore and bring you back to the villa for a fixed price. Our manager can arrange this for our guests.
We have neighbours that we love and respect and hope our guests can show respect too by keeping noise to a minimum.
We had a warm welcome and a great stay in Sanur. The Villa is great (bit hard to find for a unknown taxi driver).
The house is all we asked for and the communication with the owner or the staff was great.
The owners recommended taxi driver Mr. Eka was the best driver we had on Bali and me us feel save in the Bali traffic :)
Very nice villa decorated with a very good taste. Perfect place to rest.
Small problem in the beginning: bad smell from the toilets but fixed after 5-6 hours.
Some remarks in order to improve the stay, no good coffee or tea (Nespresso would have been appreciated) especially as you need to walk 10 mins to the first good breakfast place. We advise to rent bikes or scooters.
The villa is exactly what it looks like on airbnb. The design is claen and modern with a nice Gazebo and swimming pool. Warm water takes a while but is works. The villa is cleaned every day except sundays. They provide contact to a driver, however it was never clear what is included and what is not.
The location is quiet yet close (5-10 minute walk) to the main road with a lot a shops, restaurants and a big supermarket. The beach is another 100 meters from the main raod. There a better beaches in Bali but taking a bycicle and ride along the "promenade" is fun.
I can recommend the villa but it was significantly cheaper when i booked it (maybe euro exchange rate)
The villa is as nice and well situated as described on the website. It is a quiet street and close to the beach and restaurants of Sanur. We were taken very well care of by Heru and the pool and the other spaces were cleaned every day. During heavy rain the street changes into a shallow river but that is the only hardship to endure!
A great place to relax and enjoy Bali and Sanur.
We are very satisfied with our stay at Alicia's place. The house itself is everything that is promised in the ad and the staff is friendly and. We were two families with small kids, and everything worked perfectly for us.
Alicia's villa is lovely and right in the centre of Sanur, perfect short walk to the beach. Must go down and watch the sunrise if you stay, it is absolutely beautiful! The apartment was exactly as described and the manager met us and even provided a delicious lunch on our arrival. We would definitely recommend this villa.
Alicia is a responsive host. She furnished us with usefull infos. Her Villa looks modern, simple, beautiful and relaxing. Perhaps some fixing is needed to ensure consistent hot water. The villa a bit dim for us and its time to change for a new bath towel. Nevertheless, as the villa located in quite location, it is a good place to rest, relax and unwind after hectic day tour.

About the Host, Alicia
Two families own these villas and we each have two children.
The men are both builders and were very meticulous throughout the building process of these villas and ensured they were built to higher standards than what is normally acceptable in Bali.
One of the women is a journalist at the local newspaper here on the Sunshine Coast and the other is an early childhood teacher.
We all love Bali (including our kids) and we hope our guests enjoy our villas as much as we do.
