I can't say enough about his great the experience has been at Yves place. From initial communications to requests (I was blown away when they delivered a brand new stand up fan so that I could sleep without using the air con) the service has been first class. My driver from the airport even stopped so I could eat on the way while the apartment was made ready plus I've got a late afternoon checkout before my evening flight, I couldn't be happier! The apartment has suited my needs for a longer stay (9 nights) right down to the little touches like plenty of clothes hangers etc. The staff at the complex itself are lovely and had pool towels and umbrellas to lend, they even gave me a free toilet roll when I hadn't made it to the shops :) I did stick to the one pool as the lap pool is overhung with trees this time of year so had a few twigs and leaves etc in it, oh and the treadmill wasn't working in the gym - they said they'd get someone straight out to fix it but I just admit I didn't check as I went running outside instead and found it so much nicer, a great way to see early morning local life :) As it's out of season right now, it has been lovely and quiet for most of my stay with other noisier people only arriving in the last day or two, but to be fair they're all out all day. Although some things shut down this time of year (local markets etc) there were still plenty of places to eat. I was pleasantly surprised by the little restaurant (only open evenings) on the corner just before the Sutai boxing gym for food, service and price, plus the gym itself does nice, healthy and well priced breakfast options and great salads you can even ask to take away if you want something to pop in your fridge..the English couple there are really helpful.. the sea food restaurant near the back gate (next to peppermint spa) looked pricy but was actually much more reasonable than many places in the village.. Andaman scooter/car hire near the apartment was a great place to hire a scooter and didn't even mention the scratches from my unfortunate scooter accident which was a bonus! All in all this was a lovely spot for a quiet holiday near a very pretty beach. Oh be warned, all thai beds are firm/hard and this isn't much different to most but at least the pillows were comfy and so was the sofa for lying down and relaxing I'd definitely return to this or another of Yves places.. thanks guys!
