My mom and I had a great stay at Cary's place!
The house was clean - which was super important to us! The sun room was great for reading and visiting in the afternoons and evenings.
The location was fantastic - just a quick drive to get down town, close to grocery stores a great shopping complex, also super close to the highway to see other parts of the island like Sooke!
We would definitely love to stay here if we visited Victoria again!
Cary made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Answered all our questions and assisted us to get settled in. The neighborhood is very friendly and we have met a few of the neighbors. There are wonderful walking trails at the end of the street. The trails are well maintained by the city and are used for walking and biking. Swan Lake conservation trail and Christmas Hill are within walking distance as well. They make for a pleasant afternoon hike. There is a relatively new shopping area only a few blocks away and it is an easy walk to some great stores, coffee shops and grocery stores.
A bus stop is close by and it appears that one can go most places in the city quite easily - however we have our own car and haven't needed to use it.
This house was perfect for us! A cozy home away from home. Cary was a wonderful host. It was very easy to get a hold of him whenever we had questions.
The neighborhood is lovely, I would live there permanently if I could! I can see this house suiting so many different vacationers.
We stayed with our 6 month old daughter for close to 3 weeks while my husband attended Royal Roads University (a 15 minute drive away). The WiFi was very fast. All appliances worked well. The heat pump kept the house nice and warm and there was a beautiful fireplace for added ambiance. I would recommend this house to anyone. It was a good place to stay with a baby (there are no open stairwells). It would also be a wonderful house to stay in with a dog. There is a dog friendly park just behind the house! We enjoyed daily walks to Swan Lake, grocery stores and UpTown Mall. We had everything we needed at our fingertips. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! If this place is available, look no further…
This place was perfect. I stayed for about a month with my wife. Wish we could just move in forever. Very nice place and nicely furnished. Super quiet. It's the entire home so no noise from other tenants and it's on a quiet side street. Very comfy king size bed. Fully stocked kitchen. Cary was great. We've lived in Victoria for 2 years so didn't have many questions and only saw him a few times. Anytime we did have a question though he was available immediately. Zero complaints. Would be my first choice for place to stay any time I'm back in Vic.
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was as described: comfy and cozy. It was just like staying at home and my Mom really loved it. She felt like it was her home away from home. Cary ensured that we had anything we could want, including groceries! The house had close proximity to a huge mall with groceries stores and banks, as well as major bus routes. However, the large driveway allowed us room for our car and truck. The house was very private with a nice park behind the property. Thank you so much Cary for a great stay.
Cary was responsive, quickly answered all questions, and helped us get set up, including making sure his internet worked with our equipment. The house was quite comfortable, and the photos accurate. The location was excellent. Downtown was only 10 minutes away, and destinations to other parts of greater Victoria readily accessible. We did have a car, which would be useful, as this is a suburb, but there is a bus available nearby. The house has lots of light, comfortable beds, strong shower, and the large sunroom was an uncommon perk. Day-to-day amenities (grocery stores, banks, gas stations) were nearby. Fresh-picked apples and plums from the fruit trees out front were an unexpected welcoming treat.
