Nancy is really easy-going and friendly. Her house is near a lot of great places to visit in this area, Muir Woods, Muir Beach, drive or take the ferry to SF. Marin county had more to offer than I had time to see it all.
Nancy's place was a very warm welcome to San Francisco. Especially Ziggy, Nancy's dog, who could not stop to cuddle with Sander. Did not see Nancy often (because of her work), but my questions were always answered within minutes.
Nancy, it was nice to talk to you! We enjoyed our stay at your place and wish you all the best for the future!
Nancy is a really nice person. Her home is very comfortable...the bed was very comfy..
This is a beautiful neighborhood and a lovely home. However, the pictures on the listing were accurate but misleading. Although it's advertised that you'll have access to TV, kitchen area, etc. that is not true (or at least it was not true for us). Strangely, the host decided to have a dinner party on the night we stayed which meant that we felt confined to our room like teenagers. There was a lot of noise, swearing, and we could hear conversations that we would have felt more comfortable not hearing. The money paid was not at all worth it.
Hi Zoe, thank you for saying my home and neighborhood are lovely. I wanted to point out that I asked you if you were okay that I the host would be on a special vacation in Europe. Second my housemate Rachel was not even home and she is super quiet and a non drinking serious athlete person. So alas the other person was an airbnb guest which is odd that they were partiers I review guests quite extensively. I also wish that you had contacted my housecleaner David who is on call 24 hours or myself to discuss. I was responding immediately and enthusiastically to all the other AIRBNB guests while overseas. Is there a reason you didnt reach out? You also did not need to be confined to your room. AIRBNB is the art of succeessful communication. I wish you had reached out. Warmly and apologetically Im so sorry this occured and quite shocked. Nancy
Nancy's home was lovely, and so close to Muir Woods and other hikes! The room was perfect for the two of us. Nancy understood when we needed to arrive later in the evening, and happily left the light on for us. This was a fantastic stay!
I stayed at Nancy's home for 1 night.
It is perfectly located for anyone interested in checking out the hiking trails in the area. I hiked Muir Woods and Marin Headlands while I was there.
Her home is really lovely. It has great light and very welcoming back patio. I felt completely comfortable to lounge on her couch and read my book.
The bedroom was large and the bed comfortable. Bathroom was super clean.
She has a pretty generous driveway, so was able to park very easily.
For me personally, I'm a big fan of no shoes in the house, so that made her home even more appealing to me.
I did not get to interact with Nancy too much because I was exhausted from the day's hike, but she was a very positive and open person. I would have enjoyed chatting with her some more.
Nancy was out of town while we stayed there and that was not a problem. About 15 minutes after we arrived, the roommate, Rachel asked if the dirty dishes in the sink were ours. (They were not). Placed upon our bed was a regular towel and a beach towel. I hope they were meant to be our towels to bathe with, as they were the only towels available. The house was nice and cozy but we were unsure if we had clean sheets on our bed after Rachel's comment.
The bathroom was not clean, the area around the tub was dirty, and there were items such as bobby pins and dirt that stayed there the whole time we were there, even though we were told the house cleaner came the before our second night there. The same dirty handtowel was in the bathroom the whole time as well.
This second night we stayed, Rachel left a pot of beans boiling on the stove and went to bed. My husband turned them off after I notice they had boiled dry. Rachel didn't awake till the next morning. She did thank us for turning them off but it could have been dangerous. Not impressed
Hi Shari, I pay David very good money to clean with every house guest. Every guests has clean pottery barn sheets and towels washed and put on the bed. I also have a professional cleaner Good and CLEAN- (website hidden) come 1x per week so im shocked to hear that there were bobby pins on the floor. I also asked you in your agreement letter that if anything wasnt perfect that you contact me. I never heard from you. I also left Davids cell number for 24 hour service. I never heard from you. Rachel my former housemate accidentally left the stove on. Please thank your husband and Im sorry she accidentally burnt the beans. I do take great pride in all of my guests having a wonderful experience and the house is immaculate. Other airbnb guests made bookings and i was in immediate response so im not sure why you did not commumicate w me.

About the Host, Nancy
As a traveller myself, I have experienced much hospitality and am excited to be able to return the favor. My beautiful home in Mill Valley, is a great place where people can have the true local Marin experience. It is a unique spot in the most wonderful location, walk out the door and see the muir woods or the ocean! There is so much to enjoy here, and I will be happy to share my knowledge and do whatever I can for your best stay here. I like guests to feel comfortable at our home and have a great time. I love exploring California, I am a former professional athlete, and a bodyworker... love biking, surfing, hiking with the neighbors, hot tea, and locally grown food.
