Great location for Muir Forest. The dog Ziggy was lovely and the room was clean.
We enjoyed our stay with Nancy who is a very welcoming host. Love the house and the area. We came as guests and left as friends.
If you feel chilly (we're from Florida and our blood is thin) ask where the thermostat is, otherwise, you may freeze when showering in the morning. Mill valley is central for all sorts of great activities and there are some excellent restaurants nearby in the charming village.
Loved it, loved it, loved it! Nancy is fantastic, her home super nice, bright, clean and such a nice space to hang out for hours. The location of her place is just perfect, close to amazing hiking trails. And Nancy gives great advice and has hiking maps ready for her guests. Highly recommended!
Nancy's house is perfect. I wanted to stay in Muir Woods for a nature retreat and found Nancy's place. The location is great – in Muir Woods and close enough to San Francisco. There are nice restaurants nearby and the best coffee shop in Marin is less than a mile away (Equator).
Nancy is accommodating and very kind, always looking to make you feel welcome. Also, the room was very clean and the bed is comfortable. I would definitely stay at Nancy's place again.
Nancy made us feel welcome. Strong communication skills. Great neighbourhood.
Hi Laura, Thank you for communicating. The bed and pillows are brand new (down pillows) and Laura Ashley sheets. I had just purchased them for you. Thanks for updating my site about food. Most people just wanted tea, wine or beer when they arrive. I will change that and I wish you had said thatas I want to make everyone who stays very welcome and satisfied.
Things were great at Nancy's UNTIL she made something up or her housemate did and the day before I was supposed to arrive (this next time) she informed me I needed to find somewhere else to stay. Note: Glassdoor people do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to stay. This place is convenient but you cant do a month or more here she will kick you out too and leave you stranded. While the place is semi clean there is mold on the ceiling in the shower and in her wine glasses. Make sure you wash any items in the kitchen before using them because there is guaranteed to be food on it. I used a mop and bleach to clean the ceiling while staying there. Thats what I did and it worked but being stranded last minute is just to stressful. Oh also she will complain about your water/electricity usage. I felt guilty and paid her an extra 40.00 but it should be all inclusive.
Thank you for letting me know abuot a wine glass. The house was built 4 years ago and repainted in February so I dont know how mold is possible. Good & Clean Co. Inc. come 1x per week and also a private Airbnb cleaner comes with every change over. As far as utilities goes, Ashley did excess laundry loads. Ashley did not ask to empty her storage unit into my house without asking me prior to going out of town but filled my office, garage, her room, underneath my housemates bed and the living room with her belongings. She washed everything in the containers. When the pge bill and water bill were each $100 more in 2 weeks I wondered why. I was in Thailand celebrating a 4 month recovery from surgery. I didnt ask for money. She offered and I accepted. My guess is that bringing all these belongings and containers in and out of my house created dirt. And since it was her dirt I guess she felt moved to finally clean it up,.. When back from my trip her room was so cluttered and full of scattered things I had to close the door. This was very upsetting to me . When I came by my housemate and I were very upset about all the negative stories Ashley had said behind our backs. It felt quite manipultative and unkind. We approached her to openly communicate and she choose not too. My biggest mistake was being out of town and control the situation. I love AIRBNB and call it my treasure chest and want everyone to have a postive, peaceful, healthy stay. I am very sorry that was not possible for you. I built my home as a a spiritual resort and being clean and kind is both important to me.

About the Host, Nancy
As a traveller myself, I have experienced much hospitality and am excited to be able to return the favor. My beautiful home in Mill Valley, is a great place where people can have the true local Marin experience. It is a unique spot in the most wonderful location, walk out the door and see the muir woods or the ocean! There is so much to enjoy here, and I will be happy to share my knowledge and do whatever I can for your best stay here. I like guests to feel comfortable at our home and have a great time. I love exploring California, I am a former professional athlete, and a bodyworker... love biking, surfing, hiking with the neighbors, hot tea, and locally grown food.
