All the time!
Excellent host, always responded ASAP. Even when we were having troubles with the WiFi he got in touch with the service and had someone sent out the same day.
We were worried about the lack of glassware/silverware because of a couple reviews, but upon arrival the kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, plates, bowls and silverware :) Plenty of towels in the house! Complimentary bar soap.
The spa bath was heavenly!
The shower in the bathroom could possibly use a new water filter, it ended up irritating my skin a bit and it irritates your eyes something awful.
Everything was quite clean! So much was done with such a cozy space. Awesome pool table! Only downside there is all the pool cues had the tips broken off except one, so we just shared the one. Very awesome, still, though!
You're super close to all the attractions in Gatlinburg, we were able to walk to the Ripley's Odditorium, the Aquarium was also walking distance, and the park was a very short drive away. The people were very friendly and helpful around town, very tourist friendly.
The couch and chair in the livingroom sink in quite a bit, and the chair has sharp metal pieces that will get your hand if you need to reach in for something that slipped into it. D:
The most private cabin the area by far! At first I was a bit concerned by the lack of curtains ( we stayed here for our honeymoon) but the place really is isolated and well covered by trees and vines and is set apart at the top of a beautiful hill. Marvelous trip!
We both really enjoyed our stay. We absolutely loved how private the cabin was. There were a few minor damages when we arrived, but it didn't affect our stay what so ever. The cabin does a great job of making you feel at home. It is super close to downtown Gatlinburg which was very convenient. Thanks again for letting us stay!
When you drive up and first enter the cabin you are taking aback by how homely and cosy it is. It is a very big space and also has an indoor hot tub. It is a 15minute downhill walk into town. It is quiet and private. We'd definitely stay here again and would recommend it to people.
It would've been good to have had a booklet for the cabin to explain how certain things worked. For example we couldn't get the outside hot tub to warm up and we also couldn't get the sound to work on the TV in the bedroom.
Thank you for letting us stay!
The Honeymoon Chalet Cabin is situated in an ideal location near Gatlinburg, TN - it's even possible to walk into town. It's also a relatively private property, though there are cabins and homes located nearby. If you are looking for a place for a couple and are interested in a pool table and real fire place, this place has some benefits.
The drawbacks include lack of a real dining table, stains on the carpet, a couch that you sink into, old pillows on the bed, lack of glassware and utensils, and lack of fire tending tools. We also felt the cabin was missing some love and attention we have experienced at most other Airbnb properties. The windows were not clean, there was some debris in the yard, and sadly, the outdoor spa did not work -- although we had chosen the property in part because of the spa. Fortunately, it does have an indoor spa tub though you have to ensure you have not used up too much hot water or there is not enough water to fill it.
Overall, some nice additions like the pool table and tubs, but could use some more love. If you're not particularly picky, this is probably a fine place to stay.
Overall, this cabin was a lovely getaway for my family. Since this was one of the larger expenses of the trip, we planned to make the most of our time there. The scenery was lovely with the forest and quiet neighborhood. We had some hot tub issues so we were not able to make use of it unfortunately. The furniture definitely needs replaced, as the sofas and chairs have seen much better days. The pool table was a fun addition, but the pockets often would drop to the floor. These issues aside, it was a wonderful place to spend our vacation.
There were no issues with the cabin. It was private, cozy, and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return again.
The reservation was canceled 2 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
