Amanda and her family were very welcoming. I was immediately impressed with their hospitality and every effort to help me navigate country roads and day trips. After a restful night's sleep I enjoyed freshly baked bread and homemade jams. Delicious! If ever in the area again will definitely return. Quiet, quaint, and just what I needed.
Perfect Stay with perfect conversation and an amazing breakfast! Thanks for so much attention and guiding us thru Ireland!
This B&B is located on a farm where you can escape from the pressures of the big cities. However it is only a few miles from the motorways that will take you quickly to anyplace in the country. It was exactly as I envisioned it while reading the listing. There was a horse, some goats, chickens, ducks, birds, and several dogs, all friendly and well trained.
The farm is large enough I didn't notice any immediate neighbors. However, there were several excellent restaurants less than 10 km away. We took the ferry from Tarbert (28 km away) to Loop Head Lighthouse for a view of the cliffs. We also took a boat out of Dingle (125 km away) to Greater Blasket Island.
The bedroom and bath (with plenty of hot water) were both spacious and provided for our needs. The host gave us a choice of either a full Irish breakfast (with choice of chicken or duck eggs) or a good selection of cereals, homemade bread, and homemade jellies made from fruit and berries grown on the premises. She is an excellent cook.
We had many interesting conversations with her and her grown children, and she also helped plan our tours.
We really enjoyed our stay at Amanda's house. She took care of us very well. The room and bathroom are pleasant and the house is really nice. Speaking with Amanda and his family was very interesting. The breakfast was delicious : specially the awesome fried bread ;) We recommand to stay at Amanda's house !
I was given a lovely welcome to Amanda's home and enjoyed talking with her and her (grown up) children. The bed was comfy, the breakfast was extremely good, the dogs were sweet, and the grand piano was amazing. It's a beautiful Georgian house, with a super-comfy bed and a lovely bathroom.
amanda was very nice and helped me with the planning of the tour. I can only confirm the positive reviews of other guests. I will definitely stay here a second time to ireland :)
The host was excellent and made me feel very welcome . Everything was organised and the breakfast delicious.
The bedroom was perfect and bathroom close by.
The country air and quiet surroundings great for a rest.
