The Space

NOTE: I am looking for a MINIMUM of 2 months for the time period between Jan 1 2014 through April 2014.

I have a great Studio / junior 1 bedroom apartment (Private NOT shared) on 13th street between 2nd and 3rd avenue.

$120/night. Clean, responsible, respectful subletter wanted.

An avenue away from Union Square (and the charming Holiday market during the Winter) and enjoy everything the East Village has to offer including great restaurants, shopping and nightlife. Lower East Side, West Village, and Soho areas all just steps away!

It's also a 15 minute subway from Bryant Park Ice Skating rink, a 20 minute subway from the Rockefeller Center (Christmas tree is there during the winter) and much more quintessential New York holiday ad seasonal events. I also can try to help out with discount Broadway tickets.

The apartment is in the back of the building so it's very quiet! Full bath w/ tub, full kitchen, amazingly comfortable Tempur-Pedic® bed, AC/heater, TV for movies. Price includes utilities and available wireless. Accessible by N, Q, R, 4, 5, 6, L trains.

  • I stayed in Jeanne's apartment and everything was just as described. It is in a nice neighborhood and felt comfortable walking around at all times and even late at night when getting home from seeing the city. There are a ton of places to grab something to eat and I even used the Cleaners across the street to iron my shirts. For the most part we always took the subway to get around and the subway is a few blocks away and you can get to Chinatown, Times Square, and Central park in 10-15 minutes.

  • Jeanne was an great host and very accommodating. Since I lived in her home town and she happened to be in the area before my trip she was kind enough to drop off the keys to my work. And I got the pleasure of meeting her prior to my stay. Her place is cute and comfortable, located in a very convenient location. Nearby many restaurant, bars and the subways. Reasonable price. Awesome host. Highly recommend.

  • Working with Jeanne was great -- she was super communicative and flexible. She also helped us out with some great recommendations of things to do while we were in NYC.

Her apartment is well located, easily accessible, and cosy. We enjoyed walking around the East Village, down to SoHo, and more.

  • What an amazing location! I stayed during NY Fashion Week which is a very busy time for me and I was very comfortable. Jeanne was very responsive & generous with information and treats! A good first AirBNB experience for me!

  • Jeanne was very helpful before and during our stay, arranging the key pickup and answering emails about questions we had. Her suite is in a great location in the East Village and close to the subway and restaurants. She has many books and maps on NYC that we made good use of. We enjoyed our stay there.

    Response from Jeanne:

Thanks so much! Sorry that I do not have a coffee maker or TV stations! Can you clarify what you meant by your suggestion about foam pillows?

  • Utterly delightful! Great neighborhood - close to subway and buses, lots of activity at nearby restaurants, bars and shops at night, so I had no concerns about walking alone there. Very comfortable apartment, and a terrific rate. Jeanne was awesome to work with and very accomodating. Hope to be able to stay here again on future visits to NYC!

  • The flat is small, but it is quite enough for a one-week stay. It is also very central, near many subway lines, and the location is perfect - plenty of shops and restaurants, yet the area is quiet. Perfect location for a stay in Manhattan.

  • Jeanne was very helpful and friendly from the moment I first emailed my interest to her, helping with food and entertainment suggestions as well as booking of Broadway tix! Completely loved her place! It was way bigger than Manhattan hotels and at a fraction of the price! Very comfy and very convenient - close to the subway and Trader Joes (2 of my NY necessities) and loads of food within a short walking distance - yet quiet. Had my best nights of sleep there. :)

Will definitely stay the whole duration the next time I am back!
