Central San Jose -Chinatown. Bright space, beautiful urban and mountain views. 3rd floor walk up. City can be NOISY and early morning TRAIN NOISE it may not be the right place for some people. "Scott's Walking Tours" Guests rate ( 2 for $45 -or if single $35 )

The space
The bedroom is small. ONE BED FOR TWO PEOPLE, Bright natural light but blackout curtains can make it a cave if you need it. Bed is a murphy bed. TWO HAMMOCKS IN LIVING ROOM. It is very bright and breezy. 3rd floor corner view of the city and the mountains . Gorgeous sunrises can be enjoyed from the guest room as well as the living areas. And sunset as well...off the living area, small balcony with herbs and flowers . You can use our kitchen and wash some clothes if you need to. Feel welcome to lounge in the hammocks in the living room and enjoy the breeze as you watch the activity out the windows or the aquarium. Close to many bus stations. Perez Zeledon, Cartago, Manuel Antonio, Puntarenas. This is an older building. Bathroom is old fashioned and has the typical Tico shower head. Commuter trains start very early in morning. No need to set alarm.

Where you’ll be

San José, Costa Rica

We are in a creative area. Lots of families and people on the streets. Several Gay bars and Clubs within minutes walking. Many printing shops and also local Live Theaters. Comedy theaters. Also the pedestrian blvd of Chinatown is two blocks over. Some hip trendy restaurants as well as traditional. A amazing Chinese grocery store one block away if your taste is more exotic. Open air fruit and veggie market on Saturdays just a 5 minute walk. Follow the train tracks. Many buses and the commuter train...the train can be very loud when blowing the horn. There are several hostels nearby. Also super close to the bus stations to Manuel Antonio, Uvita and also San Isidro General ( Perez Zeledon). There are many restaurants. Not all Chinese. A corner convenience store in my building too. The pedestrian streets connect and you can get across town with minimum contact with traffic.

During your stay

We are in and out but you are treated like a house guest. But if you choose to remain in your room we wont be offended. The murphy bed can be lifted up against the wall to allow more space. I am always reachable on my phone or via social media. Even while in the house. I own Scott's walking tours (Trip Advisor) discounted for guests.
