I was visiting Lima with two friends, and we found this location to be ideal for us. The location, price and amenities were just what we needed. The bedrooms were comfortable but small, but we spent little time in the bedrooms. We enjoyed having the privacy and comfort of separate bedrooms for a very reasonable price. Our favorite feature was the rooftop terrace. We found it so inviting that we had breakfast there every morning and drinks and sometimes dinner in the evenings. Edward was very responsive to any requests and very friendly (even invited us to a party he was throwing on the terrace after our checkout). We misplaced a cell phone on our last day. Edward brought a friend and and laptop to help us locate the cell.
Edward and his Apartment were great! The terrace is amazing and the location can't be beat. Definitely was a great addition to our trip.
Ed is a great and welcoming host. He even invited us out for a beer at a neighborhood bar! The place has a dream location for Lima. You are in the heart of everything Miraflores has to offer. The huge Wong superstore is literally 2 blocks away as is a major ocean park.
The rooftop is a major reason we took the place to sit up there both at breakfast and after a day of touring. Reviewing the day with a nice beverage and planning the next day while fantastic views surround you is truly a rare experience.
The center city was easy to get to using the Metropolitano service located just 10-15 mins walk away and cost around 80 cents US!
Edward made special arrangements to meet us and was the perfect host from beginning to end. High recommendations for this great apartment, 24-hour doorman building, and it's prefect view terrace.
The apartment is perfect walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the ocean.
Edward was a very welcoming host and spent the time to recommend places to see and eat in. The apartment is very spacious and in a great location close to Park Kennedy, the ocean front, and Larco mall. The terrace was a great feature where you can enjoy a nice meal while overlooking Miraflores. I highly recommend this accommodation.
This place was perfect! Everything was exactly as shown and described above and Edward is an excellent host--very responsive and flexible. He will definitely make you feel comfortable and welcome. The terrace is just as amazing as it looks, and the sunsets are even better. The location is perfect for accessing everything Lima has to offer and is in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. I would definitely book this place again!
The apartment is centrally located in a safe, desirable area where we walked to shops, restaurants, Kennedy Park, and the beach area. Security in the building was always present and the building well groomed -- The main reason we choose this particular unit was because of the attraction to the outside gazebo area this apartment offered on the rooftop which turned out, great and very private. We held a small family reunion out on the roof, borrowed a radio (non-was provided in apt.) from security, bought candles and had a memorable time.
The apartment itself was somewhat smaller than what the pictures offered and very scares with decorations. There were no pictures on any of the bedroom walls, no shelves, and only the master room offered 2 nightstands with a lamp that had a broken base. The closest were of ample size however the shelves in them where crammed with pillows, and blankets which were of no use to us since the beds already had these items. The 3rd bedroom which there was no photo for was very small but had an incredible view of Miraflores as did the other 2 bedrooms. This room only offered a bed (no headboard) and closet. That's it! It certainly lacked charm, however, the full size bed was very comfortable after a full day of sight-seeing. There are (2) bathrooms side by side, in the hallway and 1/2 a bathroom upstairs on the rooftop which were comfortable in size and provided plenty of hot water. Again, I was surprised for the lack of detail that was provided -- the plastic shower curtain did not hang properly (3 holes where ripped therefore did not hang completely), and cups in cup/toothbrush holders were missing. The kitchen had everything we needed but needed a good scrub down. The cabinets had grime and the oven door did not close properly or at all. A walk from the kitchen to my bedroom "barefoot" left my feet black and in need of a foot scrub. Lastly, the washer/dryer did worked, however, require a lot of "manipulation" for the dryer.
I do believe this apartment has a lot of potential -- however, considering we payed somewhat in the neighborhood of $750 for 5 nights, and payed for "cleaning", these things must be addressed. Because there weren't but a couple of reviews prior to this one, I'm assuming that this unit is new to the rental market and hope that with these details addressed, the unit will be fantastic.
Lastly, it was overlooked but extremely important that the front door has a double lock which must be activated intentionally for your safety. Closing the front will lock the door but not bolt it. Turning the key once, does secure the door, but turning twice, bolts the door. Also, the garbage shoot was not mentioned and is found just outside the front door through the door by the elevator.
