The greenway is the longest off-road cycle and walking trail in Ireland. Built upon the old railway line between Achill Sound in the north and Westport to the southeast of clew bay, it extends for 43.5 km (27 miles) . It also won 1st prize at the European greenways development completion.

Ruth was an incredibly caring attentive and generous host! We had a lovely time getting to know her, and she went to an enormous effort to make us feel at home. She collected and dropped us off from the bus, and even donated all of the ingredients for us to make dinners. Her house was cosy, clean and comfortable, and in a brilliantly convenient yet peaceful location. The bikes were also great, we used them to cycle to The Reek as well as over 30 km along the Greenway. Strongly recommend staying here, the price is very reasonable especially when you consider all of the extras, particularly Ruth's company. Will definitely return to Westport, thank you Ruth!
Ruth welcomed us into her home, which was very central, cozy and charming. She had lovely touches like flowers in the room, chocolate and water. Such touches do make the difference.
This place is what airbnb is about. Welcoming and homely, but professional and comfortable.
From the lavender on the pillow, to the fruit and berries (from the garden) on the table, this is a great experience.
Ruth is relaxed, friendly and wonderful company.
Nice and confortable place close to the Harbor and city center. Watt welcome.
Ruth was so welcoming and has a great place just down the hill from city centre Westport. My wife and I had an excellent view of Croagh Patrick from our bedroom window. Everything was so neat and clean, and making our own breakfast was great.
Our stay with Ruth was fantastic. She has the perfect balance of being so accommodating and also giving us our privacy. Her gorgeous garden and beautiful lavender are fabulous and an added bonus to the fantastic location. We would highly recommend Ruth and her beautiful home!
