You have use of our modern 3-bedroom chalet in a stunning location above Lillooet Lake near Pemberton and Mt. Currie, BC that is ideal for couples or a group of up to 8 people.
Our beautiful off-the-grid mountain location near the base of the Duffey Lake Road is a 3-story, 3-bedroom house overlooking Lillooet Lake and Garibaldi Provincial Park. This is a peaceful pet-free place to spend time on forested acreage. The house is a comfortable cedar European-style mountain ski chalet with woodstove (you need to be comfortable with using candles and a headlamp after the generator is turned off, or being off the grid). Full kitchen facilities with propane range and refrigerator. Two full baths with flush toilets, hot shower and tub.
There is no on-site phone or internet service. Surrounded by forest, you can expect to enjoy a quiet, essentially power-free stay. The main attraction is the wild beauty that surrounds us, with mountains, forest, lakes and rivers. We prefer to share our mountain home with people who prefer active days and a quiet place to retreat in the evening.
You can hike or ski or snowshoe from the front door during the winter, and it is just a short drive up to Joffre Lakes Provincial Park and Cayoosh Pass for world-class hiking and backcountry skiing or snowshoeing. We can even loan you some snowshoes and take you for a tour! Skookumchuck Hot springs are a 40 minute drive down the lake. A five-minute walk takes you to the lake, where you can enjoy swimming from a private beach. Kayaks available for rent.
Minimum stay: 2 nights. We can provide breakfast or fully catered meals for an additional fee, or bring all your food supplies and self-cater. Nearest grocery store is 21 km away.
Access to the entire house, including kitchen and kitchenware. Sheets, towels, bedding are provided.
As your host, I will be there to greet you, give you a tour of the chalet and answer any questions that you may have. After that you are on your own to come and go as you please, but I am always available. I will be on the property, but staying in a small cottage down the hill.
This is a secluded area of the Pemberton Valley which is close to fantastic hiking, backcountry skiing, and backcountry adventure. We are 15 minutes north of Pemberton on a private drive above Lillooet Lake Forest Road.
Lake swimming, canoeing, stand up paddle boarding and kayaking across the road. We are about 20 minutes drive from Joffre Lakes Provincial Park. Skookemchuck Hot Springs is about 36 km down the road.
From Highway 99, Lillooet Lake Forest Road is an unpaved gravel road so you will be traveling about 8 km of unsealed road. Please drive carefully and take your time!
