Relax, renew, and be inspired! Our RURAL, eclectic travel-themed studio is close to the mountains (in SC but near the NC line) + 8 MINUTES FROM DOWNTOWN TRAVELERS REST. We're just 8 minutes from NGU, 15 minutes from Furman U., 25 minutes from downtown Greenville, and 3 minutes from venue South Wind Ranch. The space
To create a homey vibe, we've filled the Blue Haus with plenty of new and vintage items, including things we've collected over the years and picked up in our travels around North America, Asia, and Europe.

If you enjoy the quiet of a countryside community but also want to be in town in under 10 minutes, you'll appreciate our Haus as much as we do (we are NOT in the middle of town!). Please see the distances we've noted to various popular locations and feel free to message us for more info!

We owned a small vintage and new home goods shop in TR. You may find some items from the shop mixed in with the rest of the decor (and a selection of items on the chest by the front door)--if there's a price tag on something, you can buy it and take it home with you!

*Note that we have a comfortable queen-sized bed; the SECOND BED is a high-end AIR MATTRESS. Please let us know at time of booking if we need to make it available to you. Also let us know if you'd like a sheet, pillow, and blanket for the couch.

In the living area:
*piano and ukulele

*full comfortable couch and 3 chairs, one stool, one ottoman

*most basic kitchen and dining necessities
*induction single burner hot plate (in drawer on right, or in bottom right cabinet)
*small slow cooker
*small and large French presses for coffee, Chemex pour-over carafe and filters
*teapot
*coffee, tea, basic spices, oil, sugar, stevia, etc.
*toaster oven (on butcher block in laundry room--use in there or bring into kitchenette)

In the sleep space:
*extra pillows and blankets
*salt lamp
*drawers and IKEA bins you may use for your personal items and clothing
*remote for central heat and air
*small air purifier

In the bathroom:
*2+ bath towels and 1 washcloth per person
*2 hand towels
*shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap
*large jetted Jacuzzi tub and tiled shower

Where you’ll be

Travelers Rest, South Carolina, United States

There's a small private lake across the street from our property--it's popular with bird watchers. From the glider on the front porch of the Blue Haus, you'll see geese, ducks, and other birds, and sometimes other types of wildlife can be spotted, but the lake property itself is not accessible. The neighborhood is safe and pleasant for walking and biking. There is a convenience store (which may be closing soon) near the end of our street as you turn onto the highway (on the left, about a block away from the turn).
