Piazza Santa Croce is one of the largest and most famous squares of central Florence. The Basilica of Santa Croce, the largest Franciscan church in the world, overlooks the piazza. The basilica's most notable features are its sixteen chapels, many of them decorated with frescoes by Giotto and his pupils, and its tombs and cenotaphs. It is the burial place of some illustrious Italians, such as Michelangelo Buonarroti, Niccolò Machiavelli, Enrico Fermi, Galileo Galilei, Ugo Foscolo, Guglielmo Marconi, Luigi Cherubini, Leon Battista Alberti, Vittorio Alfieri, Gioacchino Rossini, Lorenzo Ghiberti, Lorenzo Bartolini, Pier Antonio Micheli, Bartolomeo Cristofori, and Giovanni Gentile. For this reason it also known as the Temple of the Italian Glories (Tempio dell'Itale Glorie). In front of the Basilica there is famous marble statue made by Enrico Pazzi decidated to Dante Alighieri, and formerly places in the middle of the piazza.

Niccolo met us on the street as we arrived as we were a little lost. He gave us invaluable information about local attractions, ameninities, and annotated a map for us! He also provided us with a phone!! Very important for international travellers with no sim card.
The apartment had a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and living area. It was perfect, and all you could hope for in an Airbnb listing. We were close to all of the places that we wanted to visit, and we were able to leave our bags at the apartment on the final day after we checked out. Would definitely recommend to others!
Nice apartment with ample space for 2+ guests. Niccolo was a great host, providing information on area attractions and dining, as well as making a taxi reservation for us to make an early flight.
Very cute apartment with very nice host in a very beautiful city!!! Everything is clean and in order, the host even gave us a list of recommended restaurants, place of interest and everything he thought we may need! Very very very good experience!!!!!
Niccolos apartment was in an incredible location, just steps from Santa Croce! We were able to arrive very quickly from the train station and walked around easily for our entire visit. He provided us with reliable wifi as well as a nice map of the city. He was kind enough to sit down with us and help is map out a plan of all the sights to see as well as good restaurants in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at his place and would gladly return!
We really enjoyed our stay in Florence at Niccolo's flat. The location was excellent (right around the corner from the Piazza Santa Croce) and the flat was comfortable, clean, and spacious. Niccolo met us at the flat upon our arrival and provided us with a map that included suggested restaurants, gelaterias, and sightseeing and answered all of our questions. He also gave us a wonderful bottle of local wine and provided us with a cell phone to use for local calls. Niccolo was very responsive by phone and email to any questions we had during our stay. I would definitely recommend this listing to anyone looking for a nice flat in a great location in Florence.
Niccolo was a wonderful host! He met us and showed us around the super clean apartment. The space has a full kitchen with a washer and outside space to dry your clothes. And it is extremely convienant to walk around to all the site seeing locations. Niccolo was great and provided a map and a list of great restaurants and gellaterias for us to visit. He also left a phone with his number and numbers in case of an emergency. He really went over the Florence map and told us where all the main sites were. 5 stars for sure, it was a real treat to have our own space and kitchen in the city. Thank you!!
