Doris responded to all our communications from booking onwards very promptly which was great for a last minute booking.
The house was clean, warm and perfect for a mini break between Christmas and New Year.
Some of used the house as a base for skiing at Mount Snow - about 45 minutes easy drive away. The rest of the party chilled out doing very little apart from being warm and comfortable (whilst knitting me a surprise tea cosy).
The house was very pleasant, in a very quiet, pretty neighborhood only 5 minutes from the center of Williamstown and very close to the area food stores. The house was as pictured. We didn't see Doris, but she responded quickly to all of our questions and left the house ready to be used by guests.
Although Doris wasn't there during our visit, she made us welcome via email, answering my questions and providing instructions. Her house is very comfortable for four adults and conveniently located to the area art museums. We had everything we needed.
Great spot in Williamstown you're in a quiet rural neighborhood, but about 5minutes drive to everything and the main part of the town center (Spring Street), campus, and for the museums (Clark about 5 minutes, Mass MOCA about 10-15).
The place was cozy, exceeded expectations, and was comfortable for a family traveling for a weekend.
Doris was a great hostess and very responsive.
Doris's house is wonderful! It is located in a very quiet and idyllic neighborhood. We enjoyed staying there very much. We did a tiny bit of tidying when we got there from the last guests but nothing major.
We would strongly recommend this host and this house. Doris was an unobtrusive host: we liked that. And she made sure that we had everything we needed. The house was larger than we thought it might be and the neighborhood in which was located was more rural and more beautiful than we expected.
The house was a perfect base for a long weekend in Williamstown. Clean and comfortable and close to everything. Great piano too. Would definitely return.
