Kristian and Tatiana were very friendly and welcoming to us. We loved living in their apartment in one of the last unrenovated apartment buildings in the very gentrified Prenzlauer Berg. The streets are leafy and quiet. The Organic supermarket is one block away. The nearby Kollwitzplatz farmers’ market is a treat (Saturdays and Thursday afternoons). The underground and tram services are close by, but we found we walked to most places we wanted to visit.
The apartment itself is light and colourful and homey.
The reservation was canceled 20 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
very nice and totally understanding people... i just met them to take the keys but it was a pleasure to know this family. the home is very special because it is one of the last un-renovated buildings in Berlin and when you enter the apartment you can get the feeling of old Berlin. it is close to anything, during my one month stay i rarely use UBahn, because everywhere i go was just in walking distance. but if you need UBahn it's just 2 minutes walk. the home makes you feel like living in a fairly tale, it's very inspiring with many plants, great books, a beautiful kitchen and very nice decoration. you have everything you need. i love the time i spent in this house and it was really sad to leave... highly recommended for the ones who want to have a real taste of Berlin!
I very much enjoyed my three week stay in Kristian's aprtment. It was generally quiet, warm and light.
As Kristian's photos show, the building is one of the few unrenovated houses in the street, which some will find off-putting, and others - like me - attractive. The rental price reflects this, so the flat is very good value. It has more space than many comparable apartments and is much more homelike. The shower arrangement is, shall we say, unusual and could certianly be easily improved!
All the necessary shops, markets cafes and bars are nearby, yet the flat is not plagued by noise from these places. A metro is 5minutes walk. I would definitley stay in the apartment on my next visit to Berlin
We had a very warm welcome at Kristian's. The apartment is very nice and cozy, and is very well situated in one of Berlin's nicest neighbourhoods, very close to a fantastic bio market and a tube station. An ideal place from which to discover Berlin!
