The description is quite off to say the least. It states "ultimate quiet" but the kitchen is over the bedroom, and the host enjoys having loud, late dinner parties with pot smoking out back, etc. Woke up to find a stranger sleeping on the couch. The host was intoxicated at one of the parties while I was there with my 5 year old son, being inappropriate. When this was mentioned to her the response was: "this is my home and drinking and smoking is not against the rules" which seems to go against her own stated house rules that there is no smoking, only down in the valley parking lot..? There is not a "hot tub", as stated, but a buried 4 foot barrel, small, deep - dirty water, no jets, etc.. Cob webs and dirt everywhere - the floors are filthy. The host has a couple of "tenants" living there - one had a cat jumping in the window, hissing and biting my son. (AirBNB has rules about notifying about animals/pets, etc which was not abided to). The deck surrounds the house, but was under major construction, being completely resurfaced (at 8 in the morning and all day) with noxious smelling weather-proofing chemicals, literally, right outside the window. Loud and smelly place. Opposite of how she describes the accommodation. Some of the towels seemed previously used, were dirty and wrinkled. Broken plywood cabinet in the bedroom and wood pieces falling off the wall in the bathroom. Stairs are really steep (over 50, going up a mountain) in case, which we actually enjoyed - but if you have limited mobility or aren't physically fit, could be tough. The host took pictures of us (especially of my son) and I asked her not to. She dismissed my comment and said she wanted to "use it for her profile", which I reiterated I felt uncomfortable with her having photos of my 5 year old son. She told her other guests to go down into our private room to look at my son's artwork. She wouldn't leave my son and me alone, kept knocking and talking alot. Work on site office facilities? Laundry facilities? I had requested, but was not able to use. Also, there was no access to the kitchen during her dinner party, so it was a challenge planning dinner time. The coffee she provides is just instant. Not to be petty, but in essence, this place is a dirty, noisy place VERY UNLIKE the one the host described. The chemical fumes and the intrusive host are why I write this review to warn people about how she operates. There are much nicer places for less expense on Airbnb, where the posting and description are true and accurate.
