About this listing
Stroll along Clifton's most iconic Crescent to our first floor apartment and a large and luxurious double room with your own shower room. Boutiques, delis, cafés and the spectacular Suspension Bridge are a three minute walk. We'd love to welcome you!
A spacious and light-filled room with two huge Georgian windows overlooking the gardens. This was our son's room but he's working in London now so we've given it an elegant makeover - he won't recognise the old place; Egyptian cotton sheets on the king-size bed, vintage pieces and muted colours. Fresh coffee and a selection of teas are provided. We don't provide breakfast as standard as there are all sorts of lovely cafés nearby but If you would like to order a continental breakfast, just let us know - £5 per person.
Parking in Clifton is not easy as there's now a residents' parking scheme so it's much easier to come by public transport. However, if travelling by car is unavoidable, do email me when booking for more information on parking. We are just a few minutes walk from the 8 bus stop which goes to Temple Meads station via the centre and Cabot Circus. The easiest thing though is just go on foot though as we are within walking distance of museums, theatres, Bristol University, Bristol Zoo, the Harbourside, the Downs and of course, the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
Guests have their own shower room with Egyptian cotton towels. The flat is very large so the guest room and bathroom feel quite separate.
Interaction with Guests
We will be there to welcome you to our home and make sure you have everything you need including privacy! We can recommend great local restaurants, bars and other attractions.
Other Things to Note
We do have an unobtrusive cat called Mabel but she's been told in no uncertain terms not to go in the guest room! Unfortunately we can't accept guests' pets - sorry.
As this is our home, we just ask that you respect it as you would if you were staying with your friends.
It's not a party venue so we think that if you're off to a stag or hen do, you'd probably have a lot more fun somewhere else!
No smoking anywhere and that includes leaning out of the window with your arm at full stretch.
I am a freelance writer specialising in interiors - I usually work with my husband who is an editorial, lifestyle and hotel photographer working for great publications such as Homes & Gardens, Country Living, Condé Nast Traveller. I love the sea, drinking cider as any self-respecting West Country resident should, almost all things Italian, catching up with friends over dinner and most of all, my family.
We do lots of travelling and as such, stay in some wonderful places - we have tried to make our Air BnB spaces feel wonderful too.
