Stroll along Clifton's most iconic Crescent to our first floor apartment and a large and luxurious double room with your own shower room. Boutiques, delis, cafés and the spectacular Suspension Bridge are a three minute walk. We'd love to welcome you!
A spacious and light-filled room with two huge Georgian windows overlooking the gardens. This was our son's room but he's working in London now so we've given it an elegant makeover - he won't recognise the old place. Egyptian cotton sheets on the brand new king-size bed, vintage pieces, muted colours and lots of episodes of Cheers to watch. Fresh coffee and a selection of teas are provided. If you would like to order a continental breakfast to be served in your room or on the balcony (with amazing views), just let us know - £5 per person.
There is free on street parking and we usually manage to find a space very close to the flat. We are also just a few minutes walk from the 8 or 9 bus stop which goes to Temple Meads station via the centre and Cabot Circus. The easiest thing though is just go on foot though as we are within walking distance of museums, theatres, Bristol University, Bristol Zoo, the Harbourside, the Downs and of course, the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
Guests have their own shower room with Egyptian cotton towels. The flat is very large so the guest room and bathroom feel quite separate.
Interaction with Guests
We will be there to welcome you to our home and make sure you have everything you need including privacy! We can recommend great local restaurants, bars and other attractions.
Other Things to Note
We do have an unobtrusive cat called Mabel but she's been told in no uncertain terms not to go in the guest room! Unfortunately we can't accept guests' pets - sorry.
As this is our home, we just ask that you respect it as you would if you were staying with your friends.
It's not a party venue so we think that if you're off to a stag or hen do, you'd probably have a lot more fun somewhere else!
No smoking anywhere and that includes leaning out of the window with your arm at full stretch.
Sarah was very welcoming and the accommodation is extremely comfortable. Would recommend this and would love to return if we were in Bristol in the future.
Hans and Marjel.
Gorgeous, clean and spacious room in a fabulous spot. Excellent views from the front of York Row. The flat is in the heart of Clifton, minutes walk from Clifton suspension bridge and Clifton's abundance of restaurants, cafés and independent shops. The lido is about a 15 minute walk and the city centre and docks are about a 30 minutes. Tea, coffee, water and tasty brownies provided, as well as towels and a
dressing (website hidden) and wifi work well. Comfy bed and clean bathroom with shower across the hall. Parking outside was free - didn't have to use my at for whole time I was there, however. Sarah was a very friendly and welcoming host and gave good recommendations for local cafés / restaurants. Excellent communication throughout (mine was a last minute booking). A wonderful stay - highly recommended.
This was our first time in Bristol and we couldn't have hoped for better accommodation. Sarah made us feel at ease straight away. She was very welcoming and provided lots of helpful tips about how to get around Bristol. The location of the flat is superb - minutes from the Clifton suspension bridge and a short bus ride from the city centre. The room felt luxuriously vast and bright, and there were lots of lovely little touches to make us feel at home. We can't wait to go back!
We recently spent a wonderful weekend in Clifton. The apartment is in the iconic Crescent with great access to local bars, restaurants and shops. Sarah gave us a warm welcome and immediately put us at ease after a trying journey up from Cornwall. She was the perfect host, explaining where to find everything we needed and then leaving us to enjoy. The accommodation is exactly as described/pictured on the website and is extremely comfortable. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Bristol!
Sarah was the perfect host and the listing was as good if not better than the very accurate description. Beautiful location, immaculately kept large room with a lovely bed (!), stylish décor and a bathroom for our personal use. We were made to feel like we were at home and felt we could ask questions and chat with Sarah as much as we liked, but could also have as much privacy as we wanted. I could not recommend this listing more - and we would love to return if we were in Bristol in the future.
Sarah and her husband have a fabulous apartment in one of the most beautiful terraces in Bristol - a Grade 2 listed national treasure completed in 1820. The room Sarah lets to guests is large, warm, carefully furnished with the best quality pieces (she is a writer on interior design), extremely comfortable and very quiet. There's a separate bathroom with shower for guests, big fluffy white towels, a real coffeemaker and an excellent bed. Sarah is very respectful of guests' privacy, but she's such a warm, funny and beautiful hostess you'll want to chat for as long as she has the time. A memorable place to stay - I wish I could have stayed longer.

I am a freelance writer specialising in interiors - I usually work with my husband who is an editorial, lifestyle and hotel photographer working for great publications such as Homes & Gardens, Country Living, Condé Nast Traveller. I love the sea, drinking cider as any self-respecting West Country resident should, almost all things Italian, catching up with friends over dinner and most of all, my family.
We do lots of travelling and as such, stay in some wonderful places - we have tried to make our Air BnB room feel wonderful too.
