Rachel is so fantastic! She is truly one of the most welcoming, friendly, interesting, fun, down to earth people ever. I loved my stay at Moan Laur, and really drank in the charm, history, and beauty of the home and area on the Dingle peninsula. My room was huge, with a big comfortable bed, balcony overlooking stunning scenery and a nice modern private bathroom. It was so fun and delightful talking to Rachel, hearing about the history of her home and neighborhood, and her fascinating life! Breakfast was delicious and perfect, and she always went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed. She really has created a magical gem of a place for everyone to have a wonderful experience in Ireland! Thank you for everything, Rachel! I loved Moan Laur and meeting you!
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay with Rachel at Moan Laur Bed and Breakfast. We were blessed with wonderful weather for our visit to the stunning Dingle area. We had a lovely comfortable room with a balcony overlooking Sliabh Mish mountain where we enjoyed aquiet and peaceful nights sleep.and an excellent breakfast before exploring wonderful Dingle.
We really enjoyed our stay at Moan Laur. Our double rooms were really nice and one had a little terrace and a lovely view. The breakfast was awesome: fresh fruit, cereals, eggs with bacon and mushrooms, toast, tea and coffee. Thanks again, Rachel!
Rachel was a fantastic host and her place was lovely, comfortable, and well placed in the middle of the Dingle Penninsula. Everything was very clean and relaxing. Rachel cooked a wonderful breakfast for each of the mornings we were there. She also gave us some excellent tips on visiting the surrounding sites (the kind of tips not found in any guidebook). Rachel's daughter was lovely and unselfishly shared her toys with my daughters. They greatly enjoyed playing together. Thank you for everything, Rachel!
Such a great experience!
Rachel's directions to her place were perfect. Our GPS had trouble with some addresses but we had no trouble finding the place, even in the waning light.
Upon our arrival Rachel greeted us and we immediately felt like we were being welcomed into an old friend's home. Rachel's daughter was watching Harry Potter in the living room next to a lovely fire. We were shown to our very spacious room and while my wife took a nap I went downstairs to chat with our host.
Rachel made some great suggestions for restaurants in the area. And for breakfast she provided us with cereal, fruit, eggs, bacon...so much! It was really lovely.
While we were there another couple spent a night in the other room. They were also from the US and we had a great time at breakfast chatting with them.
The location was great with easy access to Dingle and to Tralee. Highly recommended!

About the Host, Rachel
Hi I've been living on the Dingle Peninsula, County Kerry, Ireland for the last 11 years.
I'm originally from the UK , but gave up the corporate lifeIn Brighton to run a Bed and Breakfast. I have one daughter who is 9 years old born in 2005.
The Bed and Breakfast is in the country side with mountain views. Its 25 minutes drive to Dingle town, and 40 minutes to Killarney and 40 minutes drive from Kerry Airport.
There is a regular bus service which will operate from outside of the Bed and Breakfast, you just have to hold out your hand and the bus will stop.
There is a petrol station in my closest village (3 miles/5 Kilometres) which houses a mini super market, cafe, ATM and launderette.
Ashes bar in the village serves great food as does the Junction pub. On a Sunday night at 7pm the Junction provides traditional Irish music - which is always good fun.
I'm a sociable, chatty and warm person who loves getting to know people from all over the world. The house is my own home so I like my guests to also feel at home. I'm a relaxed person but like fun times too.
My daughter has been raised in the Bed and Breakfast and as she is on her own, loves it when other kids come to stay.
I enjoy reading, socializing with friends, skiing, horse riding, movies and running the B&B.
You only live once so do it with no regrets and to the full.
Look forward to meeting you.
