The B and B is situated in the country side just 5 kilometres from Camp village on the Dingle Peninsula. The Dingle way hiking trail is out the back of the house and goes all the way around the Peninsula.
The B and B is in a quiet location where its best to drive to the nearest pub/restaurant. You can walk but it will take 40 minutes but only 5 minutes by car.
There is a 2 hourly bus service. The bus will stop right outside the B and B. It runs from Tralee to Dingle.
I can't imagine a more wonderful place to have my first Air B&B experience. Rachel was the most caring and helpful host imaginable, going well outside normal expectations to be helpful and make your time comfortable and relaxed. Breakfast was wonderful, my bed was comfy with crisp white sheets and the dog and cat were most welcoming as well.
The bus service is great for a small community and will stop right outside - return tickets are much cheaper it seems!
A lovely location and a very happy experience. Thanks so much Rachel!
The stay with Rachel at her Moan Laur b&b was great! Rachel is welcoming and accommodating - very helpful in advising on how to get around the area and even dropped me off at the pub herself. The room was comfortable and clean. The location is beautiful and very close to great hikes and treks through the Kerry countryside.
Rachel's Bed and Breakfast was so very nice! The room and en suite were extremely clean. The drive up was so scenic. It was like driving through a dream. My friend and I arrived last in the evening (after 8:30) after a long day of traveling and she suggested the closest restaurant and then even called the restaurant to advise them that we were on our way and might be running slightly late. She had delicious french press coffee and served us a hot breakfast with also the option for yogurt, cereal, and fresh fruit. Such a lovely stay, and I would highly recommend the Moan Laur B&B!
Great B&B! The rooms are comfortable, breakfast was nice with English breakfast and pancakes. Rachel is really lovely and gave us a lot of information. And our children loved to play with her daughter. Thanks for everything!
Rachel is a wonderful host, we were made to feel very welcome in her beautifully presented house. The setting is fantastic and we had a very enjoyable time

About the Host, Rachel
Hi I've been living on the Dingle Peninsula, County Kerry, Ireland for the last 11 years.
I'm originally from the UK , but gave up the corporate lifeIn Brighton to run a Bed and Breakfast. I have one daughter who is 10 years old born in 2005.
The Bed and Breakfast is in the country side with mountain views. Its 25 minutes drive to Dingle town, and 40 minutes to Killarney and 40 minutes drive from Kerry Airport.
There is a regular bus service which will operate from outside of the Bed and Breakfast, you just have to hold out your hand and the bus will stop.
There is a petrol station in my closest village (3 miles/5 Kilometres) which houses a mini super market, cafe, ATM and launderette.
Ashes bar in the village serves great food as does the Junction pub. On a Sunday night at 7pm the Junction provides traditional Irish music - which is always good fun.
I'm a sociable, chatty and warm person who loves getting to know people from all over the world. The house is my own home so I like my guests to also feel at home. I'm a relaxed person but like fun times too.
My daughter has been raised in the Bed and Breakfast and as she is on her own, loves it when other kids come to stay.
I enjoy reading, socializing with friends, skiing, horse riding, movies and running the B&B.
You only live once so do it with no regrets and to the full.
Look forward to meeting you.
