The B and B is situated in the country side just 5 kilometres from Camp village on the Dingle Peninsula. The Dingle way hiking trail is out the back of the house and goes all the way around the Peninsula.
The B and B is in a quiet location where its best to drive to the nearest pub/restaurant. You can walk but it will take 40 minutes but only 5 minutes by car.
There is a 2 hourly bus service. The bus will stop right outside the B and B. It runs from Tralee to Dingle.
Great B&B! The rooms are comfortable, breakfast was nice with English breakfast and pancakes. Rachel is really lovely and gave us a lot of information. And our children loved to play with her daughter. Thanks for everything!
Let's be pragmatic ;) :p
- Rachel, your host, is very very very nice! She is super helpful, super smiling, super easy-going ... I can only say she was a ray of sunlight ;)
- The place: everything is warm and comfy, from the living room where you are welcomed, to the bedroom and its history Rachel will undoubtedly explain to you, and also the magnificent view of the mountains you've got! What else?
- Well I guess the shower is an old Diesel car ;) But once you understand how to get it started, it's just fine!
Conclusion: if you're in the Dingle Peninsula and want a warm and comfy place to stay, that's the one! However, if you don't have a car or are looking for a place in the city center or where the party easily, that airbnb is probably not the one you are looking for ;)
Rachel made the best breakfast we had while traveling in Ireland! The views and location was stunning and we enjoyed our time there immensely. We were so grateful for Rachel's recommendations and attentive care. We spend two spectacular days on the Dingle Peninsula. Fantastic coffee as well!
Accueil très chaleureux. Bien situé pour visiter la péninsule de Dingle. Au petit soin pour s'occuper de ses hôtes Rachel propose un petit déjeuner copieux.
Privilégier chambres côté montagne.
Rachel was very welcoming and her B & B was in the most beautiful location. The view from my bedroom window was of amazing mountains, sometimes misty, sometimes rain, sunshine if you are lucky as I was most of the time. The room was very clean and comfortable and I had access to a small patio area, which was lovely to sit outside with a cuppa after a hard days site seeing. Rachel was very knowledgeable of the local area and recommended things to see and do. The breakfast was really tasty, with a good selection of items on offer. I preferred to stay away from Dingle town, which got very busy so Rachel's B & B was ideal for me.

About the Host, Rachel
Hi I've been living on the Dingle Peninsula, County Kerry, Ireland for the last 11 years.
I'm originally from the UK , but gave up the corporate lifeIn Brighton to run a Bed and Breakfast. I have one daughter who is 10 years old born in 2005.
The Bed and Breakfast is in the country side with mountain views. Its 25 minutes drive to Dingle town, and 40 minutes to Killarney and 40 minutes drive from Kerry Airport.
There is a regular bus service which will operate from outside of the Bed and Breakfast, you just have to hold out your hand and the bus will stop.
There is a petrol station in my closest village (3 miles/5 Kilometres) which houses a mini super market, cafe, ATM and launderette.
Ashes bar in the village serves great food as does the Junction pub. On a Sunday night at 7pm the Junction provides traditional Irish music - which is always good fun.
I'm a sociable, chatty and warm person who loves getting to know people from all over the world. The house is my own home so I like my guests to also feel at home. I'm a relaxed person but like fun times too.
My daughter has been raised in the Bed and Breakfast and as she is on her own, loves it when other kids come to stay.
I enjoy reading, socializing with friends, skiing, horse riding, movies and running the B&B.
You only live once so do it with no regrets and to the full.
Look forward to meeting you.
