Stayed for 3 nights in this lovely house. It's every bit as good as the pictures show. 4 large comfortable bedrooms with a well furnished kitchen. It's just a short walk from town, maybe 10 mins, and is in a quiet estate.
Getting the keys for the house was straightforward, picked them up from one of the hotels in town. The house itself was easy to find too.
We really enjoyed our stay here and wouldn't hesitate recommending the house to others.
Briefly met Mary and she was quite lovely.
We have really enjoyed our stay in Mary's house. The house corresponded to the description, it was very spacious, functionnal and clean. The house is well located, we can join Kenmare in 10 minutes by foot. It is very useful.
Our only concern about the house is the smell of oil in the garden since it is oil-heated. Besides, we could not access to the wifi in the house but only in the street.
Kenmare and surroundings are a lovely area and Mary seems to be a nice person, even we could not meet her. This was not a problem, since we could exchange by emails.
Très belle maison, propre, grande (4 chambres avec chacune 1 lit 2 personnes). Mary est vraiment très sympathique et nous accueillie avec une bouteille et un homebread.
This house was indeed beautiful. It is very spacious and well furnished. The 4 bedrooms were all comfortable and the beds were good, as were the 2 bathrooms.
We were welcomed by a colleague of Mary since she was not available when we arrived. The welcoming was good, with enough information about the house and surroundings, and we were welcome for other questions when we needed them. The house is in a holiday home complex, and the key had to be collected at a restaurant/guesthouse in town. This was not a problem since we received very clear instructions where and when to pick up the keys and how to return them.
Kenmare and its surrounding county are very beautiful and there is much to see and do. From the home to the town center was a nice and clear marked path of about 15 minutes walk.
Our only concern about the house is that it is oil-heated. This means a Kerosine tank is in the backyard and an oil heater is in the back kitchen. The smell of oil was quite clear and prevented us from sitting in the backyard most days, even though the weather was exceptionally good. But this is probably not to be helped, since other means of heating are not easily available.
What a delightful lady Mary is. She was so welcoming and helpful during our stay. The house is just beautiful, with every amenity. There is a driveway to park on, and a lovely open green space outside the house. It is very close to Kenmare, and easy walk. Kenmare is a lovely area, and a good base to explore the ring of Kerry and the Beara peninsula. We actually got as far as Dingle, where we saw the resident dolphin on a harbour tour.
Living in Kenmare all my life & what a great place to live. Have been in the hospitality in family business & than in own business for the last 22 Years. We offer a good service & are always striving to do better.
