A cozy 10m2 room. The room contains a double bed (140 x 200 cm), a closet for you to put your clothes, a small bedside table, lamp and mirror. The room will be cleaned before you arrive and fresh bedding and towels will be provided.

The Apartment:
*****************
Our two-bedroom apartment is on the ground floor of a quite street, with a private garden at the back. It contains two bedrooms (one of which is for us) and one bathroom. The back bedroom is accessible directly from the entry hall, the second bedroom is on the street side of the house across the living room, where my girlfriend and I sleep. The shower/bathroom is accessible through the living room. The kitchen is open to the living room and fully equipped including oven and microwave, of which you can make free use. At the back lies our garden, where we love to have breakfast in the summer and where you are welcome to relax in the hammock or enjoy the sun.
The apartment is very conveniently accessible, with 5 tram lines and 3 bus lines within 1-4 minute walk that can take you anywhere in the city. A tram or bus ride to the center (Dam Square, Leidseplein etc.) takes 10-20 minutes. Anna Frank's house is a few tram stops away. The lovely Rembrant Park is less than a minute walk away and the smaller Erasmus Park is almost as close.

Guest Access

As our guests you will share the kitchen, living room and shower with us. You may also make use of the extra pairs of bikes we keep for guests. Additionally, we've prepared some materials, guides and tips to help you make the most of your visit to Amsterdam.

Interaction with Guests

Due to our busy schedule we are mostly home during the weekends, mornings and evening.

Several nice cafe's and restaurants are within a short walking distance from the house, and as the neighborhood is going through a phase of revival it seems another one is opened every week.

  • Thank you so much! Amazing! Yahav and Deirdre were very friendly and very very helpful with information, they even provide personal recommendations in and around the area :) Cosy room and only a short bike ride to the centre of town. Everything we needed for our stay! Don't hesitate to get in touch if you're in Australia :) Zoe and Joel.

  • We had a nice stay at Yahav's place. The place looked exactly as advertised.
I appreciated the "guide book" they made for us, the room was clean and everything very organized. It was great to have bikes at disposal !

  • It was a quick trip but the bikes were very useful !

  • Yahav's house was on a nice quiet street and very near a supermarket and a few small cafés/restaurants. The room was small but adequate for our overnight stop over. Lots of helpful information was provided about Amsterdam.

  • This was the perfect spot for an overnight stay in Amsterdam. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful, the room was comfortable, it was very easy to get there from the train station and I loved being able to ride one of the free bikes.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Yahav and Deirdre. The home was beautiful. Cosy and clean and in the morning we could make our breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen. When possible, we will be back!

  • Small but nice and pretty neat room, and a very comfy bed. It is well connected to the centre and to the airport as well, which for me was a plus. I felt very welcome and handy maps and guides were available, and though a bicycle was part of the offer, due to the weather I didn't try it, too bad because it's just a mere 15' pedalling and I love bicycles. Just for that I will come back. Thanks!

  • It was really nice to stay at Yahavs home. He welcomed me very friendly and introduced me in everything I could need.
The room is small but it has a wide bed and it looks to the garden so that you don't have any street noise.
Everything is clean and I appreciated very much the possibiliy to use the kitchen!
I would stay there again at any time!

  • Had a marvellous stay at Yahav's place. Everything was neatly prepared down to even a little booklet with awesome places to go! There will probably be a second time as I didn't have the chance to stay longer in the lovely city of Amsterdam.

  • The place was in a lovely neighbourhood, close to the center. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. They have a lot of lovely tips about where to go. A good experience!

About
Hi, I'm Yahav. Together with my girlfriend Deirdre I live in a modest apartment with a spare bedroom. We have now been hosting for over a year, and enjoyed it greatly. Although I've been living a long time in Amsterdam, I seem to like it more with every passing year. Being a foreigner myself, I know what an outsider would love to see and experience. I love to introduce others to my favorite hangouts. Deirdre is a real dutch girl, and can give you the local perspective as well as help you plan trips to many interesting places off the beaten path. From the best restaurants and museums to the most dingy bars and everything in between, we would love to help you experience Amsterdam the way we love to live it!
